The motto of the AIW is conservata veritate, which translates to "with the preserved truth".
This motto reflects the inclusionist desire to change Wikipedia only when no knowledge would be lost as a result.
I was born in 1982, and I live in Sweden. I've edited Wikipedia since early-July 2005, starting without logging in. I then started my own Wikipedia account on 11 January 2006, both in English and Swedish. That was when the English-language Wikipedia stopped allowing unregistered users to start new articles from 5 December 2005.
