Semperf, thanks for your support in my successful RfA.

As the picture shows, the goddesses have already bestowed my new weapons,
which I hope to use to good effect. If you ever need assistance,
or want to give me feedback on my use of the admin tools,
please leave me a message on my talkpage.

Athens, history of a major power in ancient Greece

[edit]

Athens, history of a major power in ancient Greece is a potential wikireader I do have in mind. Major issues are fairly well covered with FAs. In my opinion, especially the editors from Pericles and Alcibiades are capabale of extraordinary works and with their help we could create an excellent wikireader. I already discussed the idea with Yannismarou. He is supportive, but lacks time to do the whole task. I'm quite certain this project could benefit from your participation. In the Battle of Marathon, for example, the social tension are mentioned, something that escapes mostly when one only talks about brave soldiers and brilliant statesmen. Naturally this is difficult to research and I do think you might be especially capable of helping us to provide some more useful background on similar issues(food of the rowers and hoplites, social structure and changes, tools and techniques of the craftsmen, silver mining, btw.) to provide more than just a list of engagements and casualties. Hello, I am contacting all non-anonymous editors who participated in the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Québécois. It has been very difficult achieving consensus on the appropriate scope of the article, and the use of the word Québécois in a series of articles proposed by one editor. I am requesting input at Talk:Québécois. Joeldl 23:35, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm kind of new to Wikipedida. I saw that you voted to keep the article on "What What (In the Butt)" and I'm wondering if you could help me out again. We tried really hard to fix up the article, add more info, add more links, and make it less spammish. Recently some kid who calls himself Spectre (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Sceptre) removed all the information on the whole page because he thinks it is doesn't show a neutral point of view and is not noteworthy. We already showed that it was noteworthy when it was up for deletion, and the article seems neutral enough to me. How can we stop this guy from vandalizing our article? I have little experience and he's been an administrator, so I feel powerless. If you can help in any way it would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Shatner1 19:55, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I made an account for wikipedia perhaps two year's ago, then drifted away, and just received an email about a new password being created from me.

I changed it, then found a message from you:

"Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. semper fictilis 23:07, 12 April 2007 (UTC)"

"Please do not add unhelpful and unconstructive information to Wikipedia, as you did to Edison, New Jersey. Your edits appear to be vandalism and have been reverted. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. semper fictilis 23:23, 12 April 2007 (UTC)"

I like Wikipedia, but do not have time to work on it at all. I do not like vandals.

I would like to delete my account, as I think someone has been trying to access wikipedia using my account name. Or, someone was spoofing my IP (I use a wireless card and often use public routers, that may be the problem). Either way, I am sorry for the confusion. I have nothing against Edison, NJ, nor do I even know what was posted that constituted vandalism. Thank you for at least bringing it to my attention. Seed

thanks

Hello there

[edit]

You sent me a warning for keep on editing, however it is Akhilleus that keeps on deleting sources, and i just keep on putting them back. Akhilleus has not offered any reason as to why the references should not be added in the article, he keeps assuming and assuming.

Fact is that these references are valid. They are relevant and valid, and they deserve to be in the Minoan article. Whether Akhilleus likes them or not, is another subject. Fact is that these references are valid. --Mimon 21:30, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for you message as well. I offered verifiable scholarly sources both from the perseus project. Why does Akhilleus delete them? And supporting my point? But i have not added any point, i have not added any comments and none at all, only specified sources that one of them mentions relevant material about the Cretan legal system and is indeed worthy of addition and the other is the definition of the term Minos as provided by Liddell and Scott. What point? I have not added any points, only material as they are straight from the source. --Mimon 21:38, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Again which point? I have not added any point? Why is Akhilleus correct? Why? --Mimon 21:52, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

help Second Punic War

[edit]

I have been working on a structure for all the battles of the Second Punic war. My idea is that there are three theaters and three phases. The Theaters are Western-, Central- and Eastern Mediterranean and the phases are from 219 until 213, and from 212 until 207 and from 206 until 202. What's your opinion, is this an acceptable approach? Wandalstouring 06:44, 5 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The problem is that it leaves out all the naval engagements and Syracuse. According to "The Punic Wars a Reappraisal" these were decisive engagements because they prevented Carthage from being able to supply Hannibal. I will try to work with the structure you found and see what we get. Wandalstouring 08:46, 6 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Renaissance Canada, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. The article Daniel Stelmacker has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Does not meet WP:POLITICIAN

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
