Bradn87 = Brad Norman ?

[edit]

Hello, Bradn87. The article you created at Brad Norman was listed for deletion as An article about a real person that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject, criterion 7 in the criteria for speedy deletion, Articles section. Since it appears to be about you I've moved it to your user space instead, which was probably what you intended in the first place (a common mistake among newcomers!).

If you really did mean to create an article about yourself please be aware that this is often considered a bad idea, even if you do meet the guidelines for inclusion of biographies.

I know Wikipedia can be confusing for new editors, so you are welcome to ask for help at the help desk or on my talk page. -- PFHLai 06:06, 7 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Wes.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Wes.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:St. John's Fog Devils players, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:St. John's Fog Devils players has been empty for at least four days, and its only content has been links to parent categories. (CSD C1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:St. John's Fog Devils players, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Vandalism of my User Page

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Saint John Fog Devils players

[edit]

As a fellow fan of junior hockey (Calgary Hitmen), I can sympathize with your concerns. However, consensus at Wikipedia is that junior players are not notable for playing junior hockey. Lacking another argument for notability (ie: first round NHL draft pick), these player articles are typically deleted. Given you are disputing the Proposed deletion tags on the player articles, I am removing them and listing the player articles for deletion at articles for deletion where they will be discussed by the community. You are welcome to add your input to the debate when it is created. Hoever, based on precedents outlined by Wikipedia's notability guidelines and the Ice hockey project's notability guidelines, chances are good these articles will not pass at AfD. Please do not take this as a personal affront. You have done some good work on Wikipedia. Unfortunately, you just ran afoul of the belief among the community that junior players are not inherently notable.

In regards to your comments about Djsasso, please avoid making personal attacks. He is just following Wikipedia policy. Regards, Resolute 21:47, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Block AfD was created here. Feel free to add your comments, but please keep the policies and guidelines I listed above in mind when you are commenting. Thanks, Resolute 22:00, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Attacks

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, we remind you not to attack other editors. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Hey Bradn87

[edit]

How can I write a message on that link that you sent me? They are notable... This is FogDevil by the way.

Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi, there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot 10:22, 1 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AFD tags

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. It would be appreciated if you would not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. ccwaters 10:48, 4 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Edmonton River

[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Edmonton River, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Pumpmeup 09:57, 6 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Bradn87! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 311 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Real Paiement - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

File:Nshl.JPG listed for deletion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Nshl.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Magog the Ogre (talk) 09:09, 1 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on User:Bradn87 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ☆ Bri (talk) 03:29, 25 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
