please unblock my ip
[edit]2600:387:B:7:0:0:0:45 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I do not know why I was blocked and suspect it is an IP mixup. I generally try to make factual edits to Wikipedia; the only time that I recently made a joke edit, that I recall, was to insert "Les Claypool" between Les and Claypool as if it were the man's nickname. Technically it isn't a nickname, but technically that is what people call him. I just can't imagine why that would have resulted in a full-on ban, nor do I think that such a thing is appropriate or necessary. I appreciate online moderation to a short extent (slightly more than I appreciate the police), but no matter how necessary someone's job may seem to be, every human is just as fallible as the next. I don't expect you'll unblock me after all this but this sort of thing just makes me want to turn on a VPN and serially vandalize a site I love and regularly use, just out of spite and frustration. 2600:387:B:7:0:0:0:45 (talk) 11:14, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
Decline reason:
There's some rather racist garbage coming from this narrow IP address range. I want to be clear, I'm not claiming you are the person behind it, only pointing out that's why we can't lift the block. However, assuming you aren't the cause of the vandalism and racism (and I don't believe you are), you are free to edit. Sign in with your account. If you don't have an account, once may be created for you via WP:ACC. Yamla (talk) 13:34, 27 October 2021 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
This is the discussion page for an IP user, identified by the user's IP address. Many IP addresses change periodically, and are often shared by several users. If you are an IP user, you may create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other IP users. Registering also hides your IP address. |
