Talk to me, Andy Mabbett

[edit]
  • If you post a message on this page, I'll reply on this page to avoid fragmenting the discussion.
  • If I've left you a message on your talk page, I will be watching it, so please reply there rather than here (but do feel free to drop a copy of {{Talkback}} here).
  • If appropriate, I will move discussion from here to the relevant article's talk page, so that anyone interested can join in.
  • If you want to start a new discussion thread, please start it at the bottom of the page. Better still, use the "new section" tab next to the "edit this page" tab, or the link at the foot of this section, either of which will do that automatically.
  • Please do not make links from within section headings.
  • Inaccessible HTML (coloured text, "small" tags, etc.) will be removed from this page on sight. Broken heading or list structures will be fixed.
  • Please sign and date your entries by inserting four tildes (~~~~) at the end.
  • Start a new discussion.

Thank you for improving articles in November! --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:37, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I uploaded pics of a trip that was a 10-day celebration of a 16 November event, but the day was also when a dear friend died. We sang Hevenu shalom aleichem at his funeral yesterday, and it was good. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:12, 30 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry for your loss. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:56, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you - rich music. It helps to sing together, for the funeral with friends and family (from US and Israel), today a song he loved, taken by Handel from Jewish origin, Tochter Zion, freue dich. Will meet his wife tonight for whom it's much harder. See also what else we sang, texted by a Wikipedian to a famous Beethoven melody. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:11, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Richard Buckner's commission book

[edit]

Hi - you clearly had access to the eponymous book some years ago - any chance of establishing whether this has been published or not? - I am eager to get a look at it! Guy WF Loftus (talk) 13:46, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have no recollection of this - link? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:55, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please refer to my reply to the same question from another user (are you perhaps related?), above. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:04, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes - slightly less emphatic than my father but I should have seen this but somehow missed it... Thanks for the response. Geneus01 (talk) 12:33, 4 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In that demonstration, you are transcluding {{Archive-index}}, which is currently being deleted. I would like to ask if you would like it to be changed to {{archive|type=index}}, which is more up-to-date. JJPMaster (she/they) 00:28, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, no. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 12:28, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
