Now, would you kindly reduce the MOS:PEACOCK-type verbiage (the center has fostered interdisciplinary scholarship, focusing on the intricate social, political, historical, and cultural dimensions of Europe ... furthered its educational mission ... played a pivotal role in) down to the level of balanced and dispassionate encyclopedic prose (composed from mundane, straight-shooting, words and phrases, so no "fostered" [try x conducts y], no "focusing" [does it do something important in addition to what it is "focusing" on?], no "intricate ... dimensions" [maybe politics, history, and culture of Europe?], no "played a pivotal role" [try x did y] Thanks in advance. Thanks for warning me about the Peacock-type text. I reduced the peacock-type verbiage. Let me know if I should remove more or it, or please do it yourself.
