she appeared in the 200/201 episodes
[edit]mecha streisand did re-appear in the 200/201 episode, there is no mention of it also my source is that episode on the latest season, i highly recommend you watch it —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ronnie42 (talk • contribs) 10:48, 26 August 2010 (UTC)
Japanese
[edit]When Barbara Streisand turns into Mecha Streisand, she says some Japanese stuff. Could someone translate that? I could only recognize the last part where she says "Barubura Suturaisanda!!" And what about the two little women in the clam shell in Syndey Poitier's room? That's a direct reference to Mothra. ForestAngel (talk) 07:40, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
- Well, she starts off by saying すごい (sugoi) which means something like awesome, sweet, etc. and she says 今から、あたしの名前はメッカ・バーブラ・ストライサンド(ima kara, atashi no namae wa mekka bābura sutoraisando) which translates to "from now on my name is Mecha-Barbra Streisand". There's more Japanese later in the episode, but I wasn't able to pick anything out without rewatching it, as I wasn't listening to it, really (I was trying to just watch the show). 4RM0 (talk) 20:06, 14 November 2009 (UTC)
"Mistakes"
[edit]Hi,
What is the point of having "mistakes" section?
Thank you, TM —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.45.253.61 (talk) 19:47, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
So why do they hate Barbara so much?
[edit]and obviously realyl like that movie critic guy..:) --Procrastinating@talk2me 21:39, 7 April 2008 (UTC)
- The FAQs don't seem to be working at Southparkstudios.com at the moment, else I'd link, but they said in one of them that it's because she spells her first name "Barbra". Seriously :) Alastairward (talk) 22:20, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]I haven't been able to source decent reviews yet, but I would think that the response from Barbra Streisand that has been provided would be proof of notability enough to allow us to remove that tag from the main article. Alastairward (talk) 22:22, 23 March 2009 (UTC)
Roshambo
[edit]In this episode, Roshambo (or Rochambeau; "to kick each other in the balls over an object, last one standing wins" ([1]) plays an important role. There's nothing in the article about this, nor does the rock-paper-scissors page mention this variant of the game. --82.171.70.54 (talk) 17:18, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi, I'll be reviewing this article. Check out Talk:I Married Marge/GA1 for my structural take on GARs. Let's get started. The Flash I am Jack's complete lack of surprise 05:03, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Lead
[edit]- "[...]obtains an ancient relic from the South Park boys[...]" → wikilink "South Park boys" to List of South Park characters?
- Done. — Hunter Kahn 16:42, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Plot
[edit]- "[...]until he gives the triangle back." → "until he returns the triangle to him" to avoid redundancy.
- Combine paragraphs 3 and 4(?)
- Done. — Hunter Kahn 16:42, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Production
[edit]- Directed by Parker and Stone? The infobox and lead state that only Parker directed it—which one is correct?
- Delink "Robert Smith" and "The Cure" (already linked in plot)
- "Smith read all of his lines via telephone and Parker used the first reading of each line, even though they were read in a very dead-pan voice." → "Smith performed[...]they were executed" so it's not "he read the reading and he used the first read which was read[...]" etc.
- "[...]they were chosen at random. However, they chose[...]" → "chosen at random; however"
- Wilink to Amendment 2 if possible?
- Comma after Mary Kay Bergman
- "[...]monster movie with cheesy graphics." → "cheesy" sounds a bit slangish, wouldn't you say?
- I think i got these; please make sure my changes to the Smith dead-pan sentence were correct though. — Hunter Kahn 16:42, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Cultural references
[edit]- Should the character of Mothra be italicized?
- "This mirror a common element[...]" → "mirrors a common"
- Filming a scene of what, exactly?
- I'll continue the rest later...
- Done. — Hunter Kahn 16:42, 7 February 2010 (UTC)
Reception
[edit]- ""Mecha-Streisand" was received a 6.9 Nielsen Rating" → Remove "was"
- Wikilink to Mirabella in Ref 7.
Home video release
[edit]- Perhaps this should be mixed with reception?
- I'm kind of confused by the wording of the whole "three-DVD" thing. Were they three separate releases, or three discs? Could use some rewording.
- "[...]the other twelve[...]" → "other twelve episodes"
- I'd like to note here how impressed I am by these mostly offline sources. I particularly enjoy the title of "4-disc 'Rings' could take up a whole weekend." Great job finding all these! :)
Images
[edit]- Weak rationale but acceptable for the notably fitting infobox image.
- Other two images are freeuse, so no issues there.
- Ok, I think I got them all. And thanks for the compliments regarding the sources! — Hunter Kahn 22:33, 12 February 2010 (UTC)
Final say
[edit]I'm just gonna skip the full look-over (mostly because I cannot find the template -_-) and pass this. Great work! :) The Flash I am Jack's complete lack of surprise 00:10, 13 February 2010 (UTC)
Diamond of...?
[edit]The article currently uses both "Diamond of Pantheos" and "Diamond of Panthios". Which is correct? (This can presumably be verified by someone with a DVD of the episode checking the subtitles.) -Stelio (talk) 09:28, 3 January 2019 (UTC)
- Corrected from Panthios to Pantheos on 17 Dec 2019 by Faolin42. -Stelio (talk) 12:23, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
- I didn't actually watch the episode - I changed it to Pantheos based on that being the more common spelling, and the spelling on IMDB. Faolin42 (talk) 14:39, 23 January 2020 (UTC)
