Didn't it start before the 1930's
[edit]In my humble opinion, remembrance and from my point of view, I ask myself, if there really would not have been some writers and others, who fulfill the ... clear legal definitions before the times of 1930. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.225.34.85 (talk) 16:04, 26 April 2020 (UTC)
Well, there was Rotha Lintorn-Oman who should definitely get a mention for her founding of the British Fascisti in 1923. She has her own Wikipedia entry here. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotha_Lintorn-Orman — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.15.197.210 (talk) 12:48, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
Diaspora far-right movements
[edit]How do we deal with far-right political movements in UK which are association with migrant diaspora groups? I am thinking of Salafism, Hindutva and Revisionist Zionism as the most obvious. These groups would tend to be in conflict with the British far-right because of race issues, but they are on the far-right of the political spectrum and they are or have been active in the UK. How do we chronicle these groups without causing confusion? Claíomh Solais (talk) 00:12, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- Not of these groups are normally described as far right. While the Jewish Defense League is, it does not operate in the UK. TFD (talk) 01:26, 21 January 2017 (UTC)
- Theocracy would tend to be classified as far-right politics and groups like Hope Not Hate for example focus on both Salafist groups and quasi-fascist ones in their campaign on the far-right. There is also evidence of Hindu ultra-nationalist networks in the UK, which seem to have carried over the Pakistan-India conflict. As well as this there is the Turkish Grey Wolves (organization). These are right-nationalist rather than left-nationalist groups (typical popular with Kurds and Black diaspora groups). The Jewish case is quite complex and mostly historical, but there are some ultra-nationalist groups like Betar (followers of Jabotinsky) who still have a small presence. - While Hope Not Hate report on Islamist groups they do not call them far right. Despite what the blog posting you linked says, the Sangh Parivar is not usually called far right either. The Grey Wolves are far right, but their ideology is modelled on fascism. I don't know that they are an active presence in the UK. You would need sources to show that the literature about the far right in the UK generally includes these groups. TFD (talk) 05:33, 21 January 2017 (UTC)

phrasing
[edit]does the phrasing "non-white AND asian groups" (said in the first paragraph of the page) not imply that asians are white? Meebus (talk) 14:49, 24 April 2024 (UTC)
