Ryu Fujisaki

Ryu Fujisaki (藤崎 竜, Fujisaki Ryū, born March 10, 1971) is a Japanese mangaka born in Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture.

He won the 39th and the 40th Tezuka Award. He made his professional manga debut with WORLDS in 1990.

Fujisaki is best known for the series Hoshin Engi. His other works include: Psycho+, Dramatic Irony, Worlds, Sakuratetsu Taiwahen, Waq Waq, and most recently Shiki, which is based on a novel by Ono Fuyumi. Currently, his series Hoshin Engi is being released in the U.S. and being published by Viz Media. On August 4th, 2009, his other series Waq Waq will make its debut in the U.S. (published by Viz Media as well.)
