It hardly contributes any meaning, but seems to imply that she was right on the substance and at most too strict with her 'subjects', like a parent excessively scolding a child. undo

Among other things, she called them 'hooligans in robes', 'seditious elements' and predicted that Buddhism would soon go extinct in the country. And the Buddhist opposition to her regime wasn't limited to 'some sects', which makes it sound like a small minority. undo
