Josef Šnajdr

Josef Šnajdr (22 January 1909, Luhačovice – 14 September 1992, Brookwood, Surrey[1]) was a Czechoslovak Major General, pilot and later commander of the 311th Czechoslovak Bomber Squadron of the Royal Air Force during World War II, recipient of multiple military decorations.[2][3][4]
On 17 January 1942, he was part of the crew on during a raid on Bremen. Their Vickers Wellington was shot down and crashed in the Netherlands. Jindřich Svoboda, J. Brož and R. Mašek died while K. Batelka, Z. Sichrovský and Šnajdr survived.[5]
