In the Bangladesh Army, there are ranks of Commissioned Officers, Junior Commissioned Officers (JCOs), Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), and General Soldiers. Commissioned Officers are considered first-class personnel[1], while JCOs are categorized as first-class (non-cadre) personnel[2]. Among the NCOs, those holding the rank of Sergeant are classified as second-class personnel[3], whereas the remaining NCOs fall under the third-class category[4]. Additionally, general soldiers are also categorized as third-class personnel.
