David Kupfer

David Jerome Kupfer (born February 14, 1941)[1] is head of the psychiatry department at the University of Pittsburgh and head of the DSM-5 planning committee.[2] He was awarded the Joseph Zubin Award in 1999.[3] He is grandfather to Andrew Kupfer, who currently attends Northwestern University and serves as vice president at Northwestern Hillel.
