Anna Sisková (born 1 July 2001) is a Czech tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of No. 236 in singles and No. 64 in doubles. She has won two doubles titles on the WTA Challenger Tour as well as four singles and 23 doubles titles on the ITF Women's Circuit.
Personal life
[edit]Her mother Kateřina Sisková also was a professional tennis player.[2]
Career
[edit]Sisková won her biggest title-to-date at the 2021 ITS Cup in the doubles event, partnering Jessie Aney.[citation needed] In July 2023, she reached her first WTA doubles final at the 2021 Budapest Grand Prix also partnering Aney, losing to Katarzyna Piter and Fanny Stollár.[3]
Having made it through the singles qualifying, she reached the round-of-16 at the 2023 Polish Open, defeating Sinja Kraus[4] before losing to wildcard Maja Chwalińska.[5] In the same month, she won the doubles at the $60k Přerov tournament alongside Sapfo Sakellaridi.[6]
In September 2023, Sisková won her first WTA Challenger doubles title at the Open delle Puglie, partnering with Katarzyna Kawa.[7] This led her to making a debut into the top 100 of the WTA doubles ranking.[8]
Partnering with Miriam Škoch, Sisková won the doubles title at the 2024 WTA 125 La Bisbal d'Emporda after Tímea Babos and Dalma Gálfi withdrew from the final.[9]
She made her Grand Slam debut at the 2024 French Open partnering Miriam Kolodziejová as an alternate pair, and they defeated Russians Ekaterina Alexandrova and Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the first round.[citation needed]

Notes
[edit]- ^ The first Premier 5 event of the year has switched back and forth between the Dubai Tennis Championships and the Qatar Ladies Open since 2009. Dubai was classified as a Premier 5 event from 2009 to 2011 before being succeeded by Doha for the 2012–2014 period. In 2015, Dubai regained its Premier 5 status while Doha was demoted to Premier status. The Premier 5 tournaments were reclassified as WTA 1000 tournaments in 2021.
