"smartest girl in porn"
I took out the smartest girl in porn reference because I could not find any citations or quotes of anyone claiming her to be the "smartest girl in porn." As I stated before (see above), it's POSSIBLE that she was, but unless it can be verfied by a reliable source, it should not be listed here. Jbm867 20:55, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
- I think Asia Carrera might have something to say about this as she's also claimed this title. 23skidoo 21:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Both of us, (this is Jasmin), have been to great schools. I indeed did go to Columbia. Asia is a Mensa member. I never claimed to be a member. I am also NOT BISEXUAL. Thanks Jasmin User:76.166.185.90 05:50, 27 October 2007
I have done a little research on this and nowhere could I find any credible sources proclaiming her "the smartest girl in porn". In fact, the only person making this claim is Jasmin herself, as I found in 4 different interviews with her. Ignoring whether it's true or not (Though it almost certainly isn't. There are many women in the industry with higher education and better qualifications; Nina Hartley for one and yes, Asia Carerra.), it should not be on her wiki page.
On a related note, Jasmin is editing her own page and filling it with very dubious, self-aggrandising boasts. She seems to believe that her wrestling and "film" "careers" are as (or even more?) noteworthy than her porn career. Surely she shouldn't be allowed to alter her own article?
One more thing, I haven't found a single shred of evidence backing up her claim about attending (let alone graduating) from Columbia. There are in fact interviews with those who worked with her (not just in porn) who seriously doubt her claims aboutnher education and say she had a big reputation for lying. Either way, I don't think it's true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.203.195.81 (talk) 12:20, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
- That is not her The ip address stating she is Jasmin (76.166.185.90) is not her. As I have never seen one shred of evidence that she resides in Herndon, Virginia, USA. Which is where this IP address is located. Don't believe the hype, and delete anything this IP adds if it is not cited. Thanks Swampfire (talk) 14:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Also I found proof stuff the person added was was. If you actually search the trademark the IP stated when changing the name to Scarfazzo which to me sounded "fake" like it is a take off of Scarface. Well i searched the patent I will be changing her name back to what it originally said "Rhea Alexandra Devlugt" as it says on the patent. It also states she lives in California, not Virginia where the IP tracks too. Swampfire (talk) 14:43, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- I fixed everything the fake Jasmin added. I can't believe that since October of 2007. That no one actually pulled the patent to see that this person was lying. LoL. Oh well I fixed it. Swampfire (talk) 15:06, 13 August 2008 (UTC)

That IP 76.166.185.90 doesn't mean it wasn't her. It trace routes to NY. Herndon, VA is just where a WHOIS shows Road Runner that owns that IP range. A great many IP that you just WHOIS will show VA. That IP poster correctly stated she attended McBurney School (closed in 1988) as she claimed was her elementary school on the Howard Stern Show in 1996. She claimed to be 23 on that show but birthdatabase.com shows RHEA A DEVLUGT 1970-07-23 Brooklyn, NY but other background searches show RHEA A DEVLUGT from Marina del Rey born Sep 1962. Her true name could be hard to track due to her father dying and she has a stepfather so maybe she really is Devlugt and Calaveras. I doubt she went to Columbia because she said no when Howard asked if she went to college in NY. 69.22.70.194 (talk) 04:36, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
Deleted line
I've removed the following unsourced line per WP:BLP: (This line removed per WP:BLP) Such a line needs to have a reputable source in order to go into the article otherwise it's borderline libel. Additional: I just found out we aren't even allowed to include such lines in the Talk Pages so I had to remove it from here, too. 23skidoo 21:10, 27 September 2006 (UTC)
Misdirected link
The link for the movie "Swamp Zombies" directs to the link of the band "The Swamp Zombies". I could not find a page for the "Swamp Zombies" movie. Is there one, or if not, can someone create one? for now, I've removed the link.
How to search the patent
I will be placing the directions here on how to search the patent, because the page is listed as the result of a query it resets everytime you go to the page. Swampfire (talk) 23:41, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Ok here it is, Go here [1] on the right side of the page you will see
- eBusiness
- What you can do online ...
- Use Trademark Electronic Business Center
to file, search, check status, view documents, and more...
- Get a Trademark Registration ...
- Search
- File
- Fees, pricing and payments
- Forms - all USPTO forms
- Correspondence
You click {search} then you will see in the middle of the page this
- Select The Search Form
- New User Form Search (Basic)
- Structured Form Search (Boolean)
- Free Form Search (Advanced Search)
- Browse Dictionary (View Indexes)
- Search OG Publication Date or Registration Date
Then you click {Free Form Search (Advanced Search)} Then in the Search Term field you type in the application number 78463547 and you will see her information Swampfire (talk) 04:29, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Is it really necessary to list every line of text the column on each page? Wouldn't be easier to just direct the reader to the link in question directly, or for that matter, to just say, "Go here, and then search for 78463547 in the Search field, and hit "Submit Query"? Or better yet, why not just say that the page is here? You said that the page resets itself, but it seems to hold here. How long does it take before it resets? Thanks.Nightscream (talk) 04:52, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- The query wasnt holding earlier, which is why the links went dead. Which is why I placed the info here to show you and others how to get to it. Which apparently you finally did. Swampfire (talk) 05:06, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like it expired after all. Dammit. Oh well. Nightscream (talk) 14:30, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Really dumb question... how do we know the name of the person who took out the trademark on Jasmin's name is truly Jasmin, and not her manager/agent/best friend/etc.? Tabercil (talk) 16:47, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Beats me. How patents work is not something of which I have a great deal of knowledge. But other sources can be found to support her name, like tv.com, though that source gives her middle name as Alexandria instead of Alexandra. What do you propose? Nightscream (talk) 19:48, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- I highly doubt there is another person out there with so close of a name. That had trademarked Jasmin St. Claire. You have to establish the brand to be able to trademarlk it. The website that lists her as Alexandria is not submitted by her personally. To get the trademark she had to establish her real indentity. Which is an official documented spelling of her name. Tv.com is not such. There are websites out there with my real name on it that have it spelled with a Y in it. Which is wrong my real name is spelled with an I not a Y. The official document carries more weight than tv.com Swampfire (talk) 00:29, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Sexuality
Okay, so Swampfire's contention is that we need a source for her sexuality. Now correct me if I'm in the uninitiated here, but doesn't the sexuality listing in the Infobox refer only to her onscreen sexuality? Why would it refer to her real-life sexuality, when the Infoboxes for non-pornographic living people do not include this? My guess is that it is not considered relevant to non-porn actors, right? But then doesn't it stand to reason that the only context in which it is relevant for porn actors is their onscreen work? Why would their real-life sexuality be relevant? Nightscream (talk) 05:12, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- Nightscream, Do not remove my comments. For some reason you removed this earlier. I don't care to know why, just don't do it again. Here is what you removed It doesnt say "on screen-sexuality" of "film career-sexuality". It states sexuality. That is a personal info box, not a film career info box. Best to just leave out sexuality all together for WP:BLP reasons. Swampfire (talk) 19:04, 14 August 2008 (UTC)
- I have no idea how your comments were removed during my previous edit, since I never intended to even touch this section, and certainly don't recall doing so, but since the Edit History seems to indicate that I somehow did, I'm sorry. I assure you, it was not intentional. As for the issue of sexuality, I agree that it's not relevant, except in the context of her onscreen work. Nightscream (talk) 01:44, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Sexual orientation is intended to refer to her personal orientation and does require a reliable source. However, if you have it, then you can state what it is... see Jenna Jameson or Jenna Haze for two examples. Tabercil (talk) 02:06, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Why is this considered relevant, when other BLP Infoboxes have no listing for that info? Nightscream (talk) 02:09, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- That other pages are not perfect does not mean that this one is not following policy, which it is clearly not. If you don't think that making statements about a person's sexual preference falls under WP:BLP, then that policy has no meaning. Xihr 07:10, 15 August 2008 (UTC)

I didn't make any statement about other pages being "perfect", or about policy, nor do I know which policy you're referring to. I asked why other types of BLP Infoboxes (which are created with a bit more of deliberation than the typical casual edit) do not list such info. If it's not relevant, as a rule, to be in all BLP infoboxes, then it shouldn't be in any of them, unless it is somehow relevant to in some way to porn actors. The only way I can think of in which it would be is if it referred to their onscreen work. If it doesn't, it should be removed from the Infoboxes altogether. Nightscream (talk) 13:56, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- I believe the policy Xihr is referring is WP:BLP, and specifically the basic statement that forms its heart: "Unsourced or poorly sourced contentious material about living persons — whether the material is negative, positive, or just questionable — should be removed immediately and without waiting for discussion" (emphasis original). And in this day and age, a person's sexual orientation (if non-heterosexual) still qualifies as controversial.
- Now, you did ask why orientation was in the infobox in the first place, and that to me is a very good question as I don't have an immediate answer. You might want to raise it as an issue at Template talk:Female adult bio. Tabercil (talk) 21:00, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
Sources for disputed info
her name and age has been verified via 18 USC 2257 records from an early film titled "Anal Sex Addicts 1" filmed by Starlight Video in 1998.
a whois of metalsdarkside.com reveals that she is the owner. that and a simple visit to the site confirms all information.
information regarding high school is quoted from a howard stern interview, previously stated in her wikipedia but removed by someone discussed above to be jasmin (rhea).
the AKAs were uncovered from visiting the wikipedia pages of other languages (german/spanish/portugese/french)
NWA cyberspace information is verifiable due to the fact that the domain has lapsed and no business permit was ever filed.
Houston info is available on her wikipedia page —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stumpy6639 (talk • contribs) 20:17, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- Thank you for your efforts. What you should do, if you want to re-add the info into the article, is make sure that each passage of info you add has a source cited in the text. You can learn how to properly do this on the Citing sources page. For online sources, the url of the specific page should be used. Just a couple of things:
- What precisely does Anal Sex Addicts establish? Does it actually give her birth name and date of birth in the film?
- Other articles cannot be used as sources. However, if those articles have sources for the info, then you can use those sources.
- Which metaldarkside info is in dispute?
- To start a new section, put two equal signs on either side of the section title. This will turn it into a section heading. Much of the info like this I learned by checking the Edit field in articles and Talk Pages, and seeing how things were formatted. You can sign and date/time stamp your posts by typing four tildes (~~~~) at the end of them. And if you need to test your editing/formatting skills, use the Sandbox. Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 20:54, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
- And if you don't quite understand how the information at the citing sources page works, just put the link to the source in square bracket behind the text it's supposed to support and someone else will cheerfully help you out by converting it for you. Tabercil (talk) 22:58, 11 September 2008 (UTC)
so her name rhea devlugt, is disclosed... she actually did a double credit in a 2004 movie called coalition, as jasmin st claire/rhea devlugt. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0398873/)
her humanarchives page lists her proper birth date —Preceding unsigned comment added by Stumpy6639 (talk • contribs) 01:07, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- Putting aside the fact that imdb is not considered reliable, the fact that she used that name in a movie might support it as an alias, but not necessarily her birth name. Tom Cruise, Kirk Douglas, Martin Sheen and Cary Grant, for example, are not the birth names of those actors. Nightscream (talk) 03:20, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
- I agree. WP:BLP requires much more than this. Xihr 05:32, 12 September 2008 (UTC)
Nationality?
What nationality is she? JIP | Talk 19:21, 25 September 2008 (UTC)
- Origin? The french version [2] says that she is of norwegian descent. Which is true? Should this be added to it? It says that she is bisexual, but that she won't shoot with women. So which is it?
- Well, she did do 1 scene with Annabel Chong in Cumback Pussy 26. I think.
- I've never heard anyone refer to Jasmin being "the smartest girl in porn." It could very well be true, but usually I hear either very nice things or very bad things. Yeah, I know she went to an Ivy League school, so I'm not doubting her intelligence, but I think it should be reworded.
- The Wikipedia entry on the late New York mob boss Paul Castellano indicates that he may be Jasmin's grandfather. Dick Kimball (talk) 20:18, 17 November 2008 (UTC)
- Castellano is Italian. St. Claire herself has indicated that she Brazilian and Russian, and, in her own words, "not fucking Italian". Looking over the Castellano article shows that that assertion was removed as per WP:UNDUE. Nightscream (talk) 06:54, 19 November 2008 (UTC)
On the Howard Stern show in 1996, when she was on to solicit guys for the World's Biggest Gang Bang, she claimed French/Italian now this Google video she claims Brazilian/Russian and acts indignant Wikipedia said French/Italian.
Howard: What are you Italian?
Jasmine: Yea, French and Italian.
later
Jasmine: At the time they were casting for a Playboy video, the Women of Color.
Howard: The women of color? Are you considered a woman of color.
Jasmine: I guess so because I have dark hair, I don't know.
Howard: Yea I thought you were kind of Puerto Rican or something. Satanico (talk) 00:48, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Is it possible your memory of that interview is wrong? It was years ago, after all. But if you have a recording somewhere that can be used as a source, then we can incorporate her conflicting statements into the article. Otherwise, what she said at the convention in November would seem to be definitive. Nightscream (talk) 02:56, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
No I am looking at the video of her appearance from Howard TV and getting that info. I don't know the exact date the original happened though. 69.22.70.194 (talk) 04:43, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
- Where is this video? Nightscream (talk) 07:50, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
It originally aired on the E! channel in 1996 but now it's uncensored on cable by subscription to Howard TV On Demand. Satanico (talk) 09:50, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
If you can find out when it aired, that would help. If you can't, then a rough estimate (try figuring it out by what they're talking about, or what she's promoting), accompanied by the date on which you viewed it might make it appropriate for inclusion. Nightscream (talk) 19:01, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
9/11/1996 is the original airdate of the video on the E! channel http://www.marksfriggin.com/earchive/e-96q3.htm The actual interview took place 3/4/96 Porno whore finally shows! http://www.marksfriggin.com/news96_97/mar-96.htm WXRK 92.3 radio New York Satanico (talk) 19:41, 6 February 2009 (UTC)
:You know, I was willing to grant you some credence on this matter, but when you make inappropriate comments like that, you make difficult to take your assertions at face value. I tried looking for video of the interview at YouTube, but all I found of that interview is a clip indicated to be "Part One" of a multi-part set, and no mention is made in that part of her ethnicity, nor did a Google search turn up any info on that point. Since her own website already conflicts with what she said at the November 08 convention, I'm simply noting those two conflicting accounts. But if you can point me to that video somewhere on the web where she said this, I'll include that too. Nightscream (talk) 00:03, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- I guess you didn't bother to read that link since you thought I insulted your lady. "Porno whore finally shows!" is the relevant section on the link not my comment. That youtube is obviously not really part one as they show a previous episode flashback when Annabel came in after Stern interviewed St. Claire and the actual youtube episode is when the guys came in after that. Satanico (talk) 00:49, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
- I apologize. But there was not quotation marks or any other indication in your post that you were quoting something on that latter page. The issue, however, is not that anyone is "my lady", only that there are certain guidelines for Talk Pages, and that passages sounded somewhat trollish. Sorry I misunderstood you. Nightscream (talk) 04:10, 7 February 2009 (UTC)
Birth name and ancestry
Given the fact that all that was previously sourced to a video (which is now apparently gone) I see no problem with using another video (obviously authored by the subject) to support this information, despite the fact that it is obviously a primary source. The alternative at this point is to simply remove all that, since it's otherwise impossible to source (as far as I can tell). So if anyone cares enough to object to the changes, please remove all that instead of restoring what was formerly there. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 16:51, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
