Melissa Scott

Hi there, I'd like to have access to the deleted page of Melissa Scott (pastor). I was also wondering if it would be possible to undelete her page, as she is a well-known television personality and qualifies as a notable individual. I would be happy to edit her new page with factual material and sources. Thanks for your help in advance. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gordonhigh (talkcontribs) 08:03, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Access to Deleted Page & Userfy Catchfree

Hi Doug,

I wasn't sure which Admin to ask, but saw you're from San Diego (I live an hour north) so I wanted to reach out. I created the Wiki page Catchfree, which was just deleted. When you have the time, I was hoping you could provide me access and userfy the article for me. I will make any changes that need to be done, but have no clue why it was deleted. It was an extremely unbiased Wikipedia entry with references to all necessary citations. Here is the former page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catchfree - It described a company and what it did with links/references to many other pages throughout Wikipedia that fit accordingly.

Thanks in advance,

Casey — Preceding unsigned comment added by Casey Armstrong (talkcontribs) 00:11, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Deleted image File:SDS Sigma 5.jpg

I received notice that the above image was subject to speedy deletion because of possible terms-of-use problems. Unfortunately when I took a look to see about correcting the problem I found out that "speedy" meant "pretty much immediate." I can't seem to find where I got the image from originally. I recall puzzling for a while about terms of use. Could you recover the metadata I uploaded with the image so I can take a look at it? Thanks. Peter Flass (talk) 14:03, 16 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

version in javadoc templates

Hello.

I do not know much about coding templates in Wikipedia, but I think that, for the templates to be more general, it would be good to have a parameter that could specify the version.

In this way, for example, if a Java package of some kind was not included in some bundle, but then a later version of the package was added to a later version of that same bundle, then it would be nice to use the javadoc templates in both situations, instead of hard-coding the specific java documentation url.

For example, I came across Connected Limited Device Configuration, where in Connected Limited Device Configuration#CLDC 1.0 and 1.1 mentions that a package is not supported.

But, who knows if, in later versions of CLDC, the package (in a later version) will be supported?

So, I would like to keep the version 6 in those URLs, but also use the Javadoc templates (Template:Javadoc:SE, etc). Mrmagoo2006 (talk) 04:25, 9 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

That's a great suggestion. Rather than try to make the single template serve multiple purposes, I would suggest creating a separate hard-coded template for each version. So: Template:Javadoc:SE1, Template:Javadoc:SE2 ... Template:Javadoc:SE6, Template:Javadoc:SE7 Also, for CLDC you may want separate templates.
As I'm not active much (at all) here, I would suggest either doing it yourself, or if templates aren't your thing, ask one of the other admins.

Problem with Wikipedia page

Hello,

We are writing to request that the page Ashley Chunell http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ashley_Chunell be undeleted. This page was created about up and coming young author Ashley Chunell, who is releasing her first book in the coming months.

We do not understand why the page was deleted, as it specifically said it was about an author.

Please get back to us.

Thank you, Team Chunell ContactChunell (talk) 05:39, 27 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Head-to-Head hand combination

Hi Doug,

Could you please explain to me how did you reduce the number of head-to-head hand combintation from 207,025 to 47,008?

I understand that a lot of combination from the 207,025 combination is not distinct but I don't know how to applying aggresive search tree pruning.

If you have time please help me how to calculate the distinct situation for two oppenents.

Thanks in-advance.

Kind regards,

Mike

Dear Doug

I had submitted a page for Karl Templer, a prominent figure in the fashion industry. The page was deleted as it was considered a draft - please can I get access to this page to edit the references and copy so it is in keeping with Wikipedia requirements. Otherwise I will have to start the page from scratch. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Freemans_land#Speedy_deletion_nomination_of_Karl_Templer

Thank you for your help.
