Dopehouse Records

I find it ridiculous you deleted the page for Dopehouse Records, especially saying it is a non notable record label. Yet you have a page for yourself, as far as I'm concerned your a non notable Wikipedia Administrator geek. Stay outta H-Town and especially South Park cause thats all Dopehouse! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 160.230.251.202 (talk) 23:41, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I find it amusing that you leave this comment here 18 months after the stub of an article was deleted. (And it's "you're" not "your" and "that's" not "thats".) —Doug Bell 00:06, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Doug, Welcome back, hope things are going well for you. ▪◦▪≡SiREX≡Talk 02:01, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Warren Brandt

I edited a page for Warren Brandt, but the entire page was deleted. Please email the page to me. Thanks. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Memargolis (talkcontribs) 16:49, 19 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

First off, I apologize for the spam. You are receiving this message because you have indicated that you are in Southern California or interested in Southern California topics (either via category or WikiProject).

I would like to invite you to the Los Angeles edition of Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art, a photography scavenger hunt to be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. All photos are intended for use in Wikipedia articles or on Wikimedia Commons. There will be a prize available for the person who gets the most photos on the list.

If you don't like art, why not come just to meet your fellow Wikipedians. Apparently, we haven't had a meetup in this area since June 2006!

If you are interested in attending, please add your name to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art#Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Please make a note if you are traveling to the area (train or plane) and need transportation, which can probably be arranged via carpool, but we need time to coordinate. Lodging is as of right now out of scope, but we could discuss that if enough people are interested.

Thank you and I hope to see you there! howcheng {chat} 23:48, 9 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

TfD nomination of Template:Page

Template:Page has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Magioladitis (talk) 13:48, 12 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wondering why you (apparently) authorized the deletion on the Pastor Melissa Scott page. I am neither a particular fan, nor a detractor, I simply find her to be an interesting person, and I was perplexed to find that, not only is there no Wikipedia article on her, but that in fact, whatever had once been there had been redacted, and re-directed to the page on Gene Scott.

I recognize and appreciate the guidelines regarding bios of living persons, and that there are a lot of strong feelings about her, on both sides, but SOME info is unquestioned: She IS the current pastor of that church; she WAS the widow of Dr. Scott; she HAS a fairly large in-person and TV congregation.

I have heard that she and her followers can be fairly aggressive at hunting down and attacking unflattering or critical postings, but I was hopeful that Wikipedia was beyond such petty maneuverings.

Apparently not.

Java WikiProject and Portal

Dear Doug,

I wrote the following text on this page and since you seem interested in Java quite a bit, I would appreciate if you could support this action:

' WikiProject Java is a Wikipedian community that aims to better organize information in articles related to the Java programming language and its platform.

  • If I'm cor-rec-to, there are about 900 articles on Java technology in Wikipedia, which may be more than ALL other programming languages articles combined...
  • At least, it's more than for C++, and there IS a C++ WikiProject...
  • There is also a Python project and a Ruby project so...
  • Now you can also see the Java Portal (temp location). '

Thanks for the help, --Alainr345 (talk) 05:24, 27 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Doug Bell

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Doug Bell. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Doug Bell (3rd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:14, 9 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

PROD of Tweaker

Hey Doug,

I am curious about your recent deletion of a page being created under my user area, which had been labeled User:Tweaker.

The log gave as the reason for deletion there being no registered user with that name. Do you expect there would be a problem if I recreated the page without the "User:" portion in front? I admit to not being familiar with the preceding tags, but would be glad to change it if that was the main concern. In truth I didn't think the page was published for others to find yet (and that the "User:" was only temporary), but apparently I was mistaken.

The existing BuildBot page was my reference when deciding the overall format and amount of content in Tweaker, and thought the two pages were of such a similar nature as to be equally acceptable. Hopefully this is only a problem with the name, and not the content.

Respectfully, Dhaugseng (talk) 13:37, 18 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
