Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Chiang Zhao-Cong, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Lime. Spacing issue

[edit]

Hello, just a reminder to please be mindful of spacing around words, so as to make the text readable. I notice that you are often omitting spaces, thereby making citations, text, and punctuation run together without the normal spacing. There should always be a space after a closing ref tag.

Please see my fixes here for an example of what I mean. Thank you, Jessicapierce (talk) 21:23, 12 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from BreadTeleportingFiend on Mouth for War (10:10, 19 July 2024)

[edit]

Hello, I was wondering if an edit was appropriate and if I could have some help with links to other Wikipedia pages. I felt like it was important to include in the “covers” section that Bobby Prince covered the main riff from Mouth for War for DOOM (1993)? It’s confirmed by John Romero that Prince was supplied with Pantera among other rock bands for inspiration for the OST. Would this be appropriate? And if so, how can I add links to pages? --BreadTeleportingFiend (talk) 10:10, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I think your edit was appropriate. If you want to add links to the page, I suggest you first use a search engine like Google to find information about Bobby Prince covering the main riff from "Mouth for War" and how John Romero confirmed that Prince was provided with Pantera and other rock bands for inspiration for the OST. Once you find enough information, you can add it as a reference for the "Mouth for War" page. 方志維 (talk) 10:36, 19 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi – I'd like to make a Wikipedia for photographer Andrew Tess. Can you help? --Mandymeets (talk) 21:40, 2 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I can help you. How to write references

[edit]

Show me some notable examples here.Thabiso Andre Rekhotso (talk) 14:11, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, if you want to write references, you must include inline citations while editing the article.
For example:As part of a formal agreement between the International Paralympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee first established in 2001, the winner of the bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics must also host the 2024 Summer Paralympics.【6】(The above content is excerpted from the English Wikipedia entry: 2024 Summer Paralympics.)The mark [6] in the above article indicates the citation reference. If you want to complete the citation for this reference, you need to follow the steps below:While editing a page that uses the most common footnote style, you will see inline citations displayed between [1] tags. For example:As part of a formal agreement between the International Paralympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee first established in 2001, the winner of the bid for the 2024 Summer Olympics must also host the 2024 Summer Paralympics.[2].
Manually adding references can be a slow and tricky process. Fortunately, there is a tool called "RefToolbar" built into the Wikipedia edit window, which makes it much easier.
To use it, click on Cite at the top of the edit window, having already positioned your cursor after the sentence or fact you wish to reference. {{cite news}}: Empty citation (help) for newspapers and news websites.
The above is just one example; for other methods of citing references, please refer to: Referencing. 方志維 (talk) 15:53, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello how do I create citations?.Thabiso Andre Rekhotso (talk) 17:29, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, regarding how to create citations, you can add a reference link to a sentence in your article by using the <ref>...<ref> tags. The main method is as follows: first, search for the reference you want to use on Google. Once you find the URL of the reference, copy the title and paste it after the sentence where you want to create a citation. Highlight the title, then click on the sixth editing option from the left in the editing menu at the top of the source code window to add a reference. This completes the <ref>...<ref> tags. Next, copy the URL of the reference you found, and click on the third editing option from the left in the editing menu at the top of the source code window to create a link. Paste the URL to create the link, and you're done. 方志維 (talk) 22:23, 30 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you translated text from zh:清水溝溪 to another page. While you are welcome to translate Wikipedia content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the contributor(s) of the original article. When translating from a foreign-language Wikipedia article, this is supplied at a minimum in an edit summary on the page where you add translated content, identifying it as a translation and linking it to the source page. Sample wording for this is given here. If you forgot, or were not aware of this requirement, attribution must be given retroactively, for example:

NOTE: Content in the edit of 01:25, January 25, 2023 was translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

Retroactive attribution may be added using a dummy edit; see Repairing insufficient attribution. It is good practice, especially if translation is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{translated page}} template on the talk page of the destination article. If you have added translated content previously which was not attributed at the time it was added, you must add attribution retrospectively, even if it was a long time ago. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. Question from Lorde Bull BME (19:56, 26 November 2024)

[edit]

I have published my first Bio but, after a search on google it doesn't appear, what should I do --Lorde Bull BME (talk) 19:56, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, typically, after publishing the first article, it will appear on Google Search. As for why this hasn't happened in your case, it might be because the article you created doesn’t show up on Google Search immediately. I suggest trying a few more times; it should appear eventually. 方志維 (talk) 22:58, 26 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings. Very quickly, I don’t have a question- rather a solution. I noted that a disease was described as lack of motivation and purpose. I have a cure and would like to suggest it without negative recourse. --Michellebris2019 (talk) 20:09, 15 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
