Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Mátyás Rákosi, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ada (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:04, 31 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Janja Vidmar has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Matty.007 20:05, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Article translation

[edit]

Hi Buspirtraz,

If you are still interested by translating or making translate FA articles from other wikipedias to English, I may suggest you this article : fr:Special Night Squads.

That is much less polemical but still quite interesting. I can provide support if required. Again, my level in English is not good enough to translate from French to English but I can read the English version to see if the right nuances or there. More, I think that all sources are in English so that should be easier for FA status on wp:en at the end.

(edit) In fact Victimes. Histoire revisitée du conflit arabo-sioniste (fr) from Benny Morris is widely used but this is a very well known book and I know contributors who have the English version. So it will be easy to find the pages and quotes in the English version. Henry Laurens (the author to whom Nishidani refers to in the article the 1920 riots) is also used but that is not an issue if there is one source in French.

Thank you, Pluto2012. I'm going to try and see if I can muster up the courage to work on an article having to do with the Arab-Israeli conflict. I may start to work on it in about a few days. --Buspirtraz (talk) 08:35, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The big advantage of this article is that it is too complex to bring the usual trolls. They don't even know what SNS are but on the scholarly point of view, it is lightning and worth translating. Many thanks by advance even if the conclusion is that it is impossible to find translators. Pluto2012 (talk) 09:10, 15 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Opting in to VisualEditor

[edit]

As you may know, VisualEditor ("Edit beta") is currently available on the English Wikipedia only for registered editors who choose to enable it. Since you have made 100 or more edits with VisualEditor this year, I want to make sure that you know that you can enable VisualEditor (if you haven't already done so) by going to your preferences and choosing the item, "MediaWiki:Visualeditor-preference-enable". This will give you the option of using VisualEditor on articles and userpages when you want to, and give you the opportunity to spot changes in the interface and suggest improvements. We value your feedback, whether positive or negative, about using VisualEditor, at Wikipedia:VisualEditor/Feedback. Thank you, Whatamidoing (WMF) (talk) 18:29, 11 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Asian 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 01:25, 20 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Possible removal of AWB access due to inactivity

[edit]

Hello! There is currently a request for approval of a bot to manage the AutoWikiBrowser CheckPage by removing inactive users, among other tasks. You are being contacted because you may qualify as an inactive user of AWB. First, if you have any input on the proposed bot task, please feel free to comment at the BRFA. Should the bot task be approved, your access to AWB may be uncontroversially removed if you do not resume editing within a week's time. This is purely for routine maintenance of the CheckPage, and is not indicative of wrongdoing on your part. You will be able regain access at any time by simply requesting it at WP:PERM/AWB. Thank you! MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 23:36, 8 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
