[edit]Hello. Your recent edit to Hall High School (Connecticut) appears to have added the name of a non-notable entity to a list that normally includes only notable entries. In general, a person, organization or product added to a list should have a pre-existing article before being added to most lists. If you wish to create such an article, please first confirm that the subject qualifies for a separate, stand-alone article according to Wikipedia's notability guideline. Thank you. Meters (talk) 21:25, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
- Risky. I could create a standalone page and then have other editors say they disagree on notability and then I've wasted time. Nutmeg39
- As opposed to wasting your time by adding an entry that has no article that will be deleted? Meters (talk) 03:27, 22 January 2022 (UTC)
- That's water under the bridge at this point as I already did that work that was erased. There's no question that in reality she belongs on the page of notable Hall alumni. That her listing there may not conform to Wikipedia rules is what it is. But Wikipedia and an objective sense of reality don't always have to conform. I can live with that. Nutmeg39

Acel Moore moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Acel Moore, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. – Pbrks (t • c) 22:09, 20 February 2022 (UTC)
- Should be all set now. Nutmeg39

Copying public domain material requires attribution
[edit]Thank you for your contributions. It seems that you may have added public domain content to one or more Wikipedia articles, such as Susan Tsui Grundmann. You are welcome to import appropriate public domain content to articles, but in order to meet the Wikipedia guideline on plagiarism, such content must be fully attributed. This requires not only acknowledging the source, but acknowledging that the source is copied. There are several methods to do this described at Wikipedia:Plagiarism#Public-domain sources, including the usage of an attribution template. Please make sure that any public domain content you have already imported is fully attributed. Thank you. DanCherek (talk) 21:30, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

Elizabeth "Betty" Knox
[edit]@Firefangledfeathers: How do I start a new page for someone whose name matches an existing page? (but is a different person) https://ctbythenumbers.news/ctnews/the-greening-of-hartford-driven-by-betty-knox but see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elizabeth_Knox Any suggestions? Nutmeg39 (talk) 10:46, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Nutmeg39! In general, the problem you're having is related to Wikipedia:Disambiguation. Is your Knox better known by Elizabeth or Betty? There's also a different Betty Knox occupying the latter, but it will matter which one we're working with. Firefangledfeathers (talk / contribs) 13:31, 1 July 2022 (UTC)
