Matthew Jarrid Murphy (born February 23, 1980 in Template:City-state) is an American football offensive tackle who is currently a free agent. He was drafted by the Detroit Lions in the seventh round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He played college football at Maryland.

Murphy has also been a member of the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks, Buffalo Bills and Denver Broncos.

Early years

Murphy attended New Haven High School in New Haven, Michigan and was a student and a letterman in football. In football, he was named as an All-Metropolitan selection by the Detroit Free Press. Matthew Murphy graduated from New Haven High School in 1998.
