:Seriously Your sarcastic edits and pleas for me to consider the feelings of Britons are not making things better. If you don't stop, I'm going to have to post to AN/I and I think that your behavior thus far will make a case that you are being deliberately disruptive. —Justin (koavf)❤T☮C☺M☯ 03:09, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 03:09, 28 October 2009

October 2009

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive comments.
The next time you make a personal attack, you will be blocked for disruption. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. See here, were you call me a troll. I already got your ability to use twinkle removed for abuse, retract that insult, and I won't draw attention to your further questionable behavior.dαlus Contribs 04:03, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest you have a thorough reading of WP:NPA. You called me a troll, that's an attack, period. Do not do it again. Your behavior is a wikipedia matter, and this is not a personal issue, it is a violation of policy. You don't like that? Leave.— dαlus Contribs 20:15, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Secondly, warning you as I did above is not wikihounding.— dαlus Contribs 20:19, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"The important component of wiki-hounding is disruption to another user's own enjoyment of editing, or to the project generally, for no overriding reason. If "following another user around" is accompanied by tendentiousness, personal attacks, or other disruptive behavior, it may become a very serious matter and could result in blocks and other editing restrictions." Radiopathy •talk• 20:20, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Both of you disengage from each other and get back in your neutral corners! I don't want to see either of you launching attacks or accusations at each other on any page. Both of you understand? Count to ten or something, have a smoke, or whatever. But this has to stop. MuZemike 20:24, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I will. I can live with that. There are other members of the community who could bring my mistakes to my attention in a civil way. I'd like User:Daedalus969 to stop following me around and being disruptive, which he is doing in spite of his protestations to the contrary, and which he has repeatedly been asked not to do.Radiopathy •talk• 02:37, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Funny how I am neither following you around, personally attacking you, or being disruptive. You in fact were personally attacking me, and your use of twinkle was both disruptive and ruining many other users' enjoyment of editing, when you used it to edit war and call good-faith edits vandalism.— dαlus Contribs 20:34, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. I just wanted to chip into this lively discussion. Having only just met daedalus969 I have done a bit of background work into this and I would just like to say that I fully support daedalus969's view. He seems like a person of real integrity to me who is committed to the five pillars of wikipedia. (It also helps that he loves status quo!) Dadelus12 (talk) 22:39, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Disregard above message, as was made by a serial sock puppet. MuZemike 23:01, 23 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

LA = obviously notable?

Rather than revert your edit to George Harrison, I thought I would comment here upon your rationale. LA is indeed notable, and likely well known as being in the US by the majority of English speaking people... However, majority only and not all. As far as I am concerned cities such as Liege, Montevideo, and Hobart are so well known as to not need commenting that they are in Belgium, Uruguay and Australia - but quite a lot of the English speaking population (including that in the US) do not know these facts. Thus it is common practice to place the identity of the country after the named city or town, and to edit to the same standard throughout the encyclopedia. Oh, and adding the name of the state after the city name still does not suffice - it is a matter of amazement to many Americans that California is the name of an area of the North East of England; where do they think the name came from? It is generally not a good idea to remove verifiable information from an article as being "obvious", as it defeats the purpose of an encyclopedia - a repository of knowledge. Points well taken; country name readded to infobox. BTW, there are several places in the so-called United Kingdom that are named California. Radiopathy •talk• 00:29, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Contentious edits

Please, which of my edits are contentious? You can't just make accusations without evidence on wikipedia.— dαlus Contribs 01:33, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gwen's page is on my watchlist, it has been for a long time. Go on, check the history and archives, you'll easily see that I have posted there before.— dαlus Contribs 01:41, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

We've had this discussion before, let me quote MOS for you: The spaced U. S. is never used, nor is the archaic U.S. of A., except in quoted materials. U.S.A. and USA are not used unless quoted or as part of a proper name (Team USA). Editing per MOS is no reason to block. If you wish to change consensus about abbreviations, take it to MOS's talk page.— dαlus Contribs 02:22, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You're at 3RR at George Harrison as it stands right now. Radiopathy •talk•

Please Your attempt to undermine Template:Infobox Writer by "rm POV" is sneaky and it will not go unnoticed, as I watch George Orwell.
