Welcome!

Hello, The199206, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on discussion pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{helpme}} before the question. Thank you for experimenting with the page List of micronations on Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. A tag has been placed on Ferit Hoxha requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. TheWeakWilled (T * G) 14:40, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Ferit Hoxha. Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion, and make your case on the page's talk page. Thank you. Camaron · Christopher · talk 18:05, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have nominated Ferit Hoxha, an article that you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ferit Hoxha. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time.

Please contact me if you're unsure why you received this message. TheWeakWilled (T * G) 17:03, 28 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Let's properly reference bonaparte then edit war

I will gently ask you not to edit war but reference. There is plenty of evidence that Napoleon Bonaparte was from aberesh origin, but you should find the sources and properly reference the article. Please find the books of Adolphe Thiers, Robert d'Angely, and duchess Josephine Permon Stefanopuli de Comnene. For now don't edit-war but find the references, then edit. Please stop. If you continue to move pages to bad titles contrary to naming conventions or consensus, as you did to Socialist People's Republic of Albania, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --DIREKTOR (TALK) 11:29, 29 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Albania Socialist Republic was declared in 1976 and not 1945. This know all people. Irvi Hyka

Your contributed article, Ethnic Shqipëria

Hello, I notice that you recently created a new page, Ethnic Shqipëria. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as yourself. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page - Greater Albania. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will to continue helping improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Greater Albania - you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think that the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Athenean (talk) 21:12, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from introducing inappropriate pages, such as Ethnic Shqipëria, to Wikipedia. Doing so is not in accordance with our policies. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox.

Hero i popullit

Irvi, degjo: nuk ke pse heq material ashtu si bere te People's Hero of Albania.

Sa me i pasur artikulli, aq me mire. Po duhet te kujtojme qe dekoratat jane dhene me ligj. Une e kam lexuar deklaraten dhe artikujt e shtypit dhe problemi eshte se ligji i vitit 1980 nuk parashikon heqjen e dekoratave. Pra ka lindur ceshtja e heqjes apo modifikimit te ligjit. Mund ta kuptoj shume mire urrejtjen tende per Enver Hoxhen, mund edhe ta kem edhe vete, po ketu flitet per artikuj enciklopedike dhe duhet te themi te verteten. Me ligj Enver Hoxha ka ate dekorate. Nese ligji do ndryshoje dhe do i hiqet me ceremoni, ia heqim edhe ne wikipedia. --Sulmues talk 15:25, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Eshte shqetesuese qe ti degjon nje deklarate e shkon e ndryshon artikullin. --Sulmues talk 15:39, 18 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading File:Teuta Topi.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Eeekster (talk) 03:52, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Einstein

I directly said something in the talk page [2], and I believe the sources are sufficient. If no one objects by tomorrow I'll enter something in the article of Einstein. Now be careful, his nationality won't be in the lede because being Albanian is not what made him notable, but normally we'll enter it in the article in the history of his life. If you have additional sources, please feel free to bring them directly to Talk:Albert Einstein. Very interesting fact, thank you, Irvi, these are good contributions! --Sulmues Let's talk 14:27, 6 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

In case the edit summary I provided was illegible, I'm afraid I had to revert your changes to List of states with limited recognition since they were against a previously achieved consensus. See Talk:List of states with limited recognition/Archive 5#Croatia, Montenegro, etc. Unless of course the situation changed and there is a country actively denying recognition, in which case I suggest you first add a note to the Talk:List of states with limited recognition page explaining why the previous consensus no longer applies, and achieve a new consensus. Best regards, and happy editing! --Muhandes (talk) 20:04, 12 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That is not a sufficient reason to copy-and-paste entire statements from the Office of the President or the Foreign Ministry into the table. No, no, i didn't told you that... I told you not to use [[Republic of Kosovo|Kosovo]], but to wikify only Kosovo, as Kosovo is geographical term, and RoK is only political. We use only Kosovo for the Autonomous Province of Kosovo and Metohija also... And after word Kosovo, you should use {{kosovo-note}}. That is what i told you, not the usage of term Kosovo... An article you worked on Said Toptani, appears to be directly copied from http://familjatoptani.com/english/said. Please take a minute to make sure that the text is freely licensed and properly attributed as a reference, otherwise the article may be deleted.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Said Toptani requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. If you can't, then Albania deserves no special mention in the article. Those other countries had confirmed forces committed, not just vague, meaningless "modest" support. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 01:12, 26 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked temporarily from editing for edit warring, as you did at Template:Politics of Kosovo. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.

During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. Beeblebrox (talk) 02:11, 27 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notice of sanctions

In a 2007 arbitration case, administrators were given the power to impose discretionary sanctions on any user working on articles concerning the Balkans. Before any such sanctions are imposed, editors are to be put on notice of the decision. This notice is not to be taken as implying any inappropriate behaviour on your part, merely to warn you of the Arbitration Committee's decision. Thank you. Omer Nishani

I suggest you find a textual source for the claim. I don't think Wikipedia allows for television documentaries to be used as sources. As for my personal view (not that it matters), I think that if he did indeed commit suicide it was covered up probably because suicide was seen as taboo. IIRC he was pretty ill by the time he died and probably wanted a shortcut to his death. Hoxha praises him in his memoirs (even though he himself notes Nishani initially collaborated with the Italians) and in 1960's-80's Albanian books and photo-books Nishani is mentioned and seen often, so it seems odd that anything sinister occurred in regards to his death (which, if I'm not mistaken, Fevziu argues that Nishani may have been murdered by Hoxha.) --Ismail (talk) 14:37, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Skanderbeg shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection. Rona Nishliu

You've been an editor here long enough and you know the procedure regarding biographical information. Place names are given to observe historical accuracy, name translations provide biographical information for the country of birth as chosen by a subject's parents; and openly supporting Kosovan independence is not a reason to violate policies or consensus. I'll thank you not to interfere with these sections of the article in future. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 20:46, 24 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You and persistently ignoring this message above. Can I ask you one final time, please do not interfere with the naming section on Rona Nishliu. Where I see an editor remove these things, I am wholly justified in blanking his edits because if there is no such thing as an edit comprising constructive and non-constructive material. If you wish to add or remove people's names in other languages, you need a valid reason; a valid reason in the case of Rona Nishliu is something like this:

  • Subject was not born in that location - but in other country. When this is the case, you amend the birthplace details also and you source this.
  • Subject lived prior to or post-timeline of relevant country to require spelling form. Here, you provide timeline (eg. born 1762, died 1862).
  • Subject was only born on land whilst pregnant mother was passing, life has since continued in other country. or Subject left territory permanently from the age prior to starting school and has quit the region. Text needed and sources required.

Likewise, there are some factors that will not be taken into consideration and you may not delete this for any of the following:

  • Subject is not of ethnicity pertaining to alternative name. Patently obvious when a need for an alternative name even arises, but you do not spring clean Wikipedia removing parenthesised names.
  • Subject has phobia for culture pertaining to alternative name. Irrelevant, no encyclopaedic importance.
  • I as editor dislike the culture pertaining to alternative name. This will not be given consideration.
  • Country of birth name is not relevant. Yes it is, there are naming conventions and consensus on this regarding Kosovar subjects has been reached and has stuck for years.

If you would further wish to challenge such conventions, you need to use talk pages or launch a project. Here you can also gather the thoughts of other topic users across Wikipedia who apply the same policies for persons in their respective regions. But once more I shall tell you, you are not here to customise or stylise specific pages according to your personal preferences. If a subject was born in Serbia, Yugoslavia, then that's that whether you like it or not. If you have a problem with that, take it up with the individual's parents and admonish them for the decision they consciously made. Changing of conventions does not begin with continiuous switching of a single article. Evlekis (Евлекис) (argue) 04:37, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

As final gesture of good faith, I am going to link you to the various discussions which had led to consensus on how naming conventions apply for persons born on the territory of the former Yugoslavia and its successor republics. Please read the following discussions, you may need to link back and forth because they were conducted on separate talk pages: [7], [8], [9], [10]. Follow dates for chronological order. Follow also this discussion here, and read this talk from the second paragraph, it explains everything. I believe that if you make a unilateral edit in breach of conventions again, I am justified in reporting you for non-constructive editing. Thank you. Notice of sanctions

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions (information on which is at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions) on any editor who is active on pages broadly related to the Balkans. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The Committee's full decision can be read in the Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Macedonia#Final decision section of the decision page.

Please familiarise yourself with the information page at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions, with the appropriate sections of Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Procedures, and with the case decision page.

As you have been previously advised of this key decision, yet continue to act contrary to the findings, you are hereby restricted on all Balkans-related topics, broadly construed:

  • you may not go beyond WP:1RR on any related article
  • you may not move any related article

Libya

So. I have seen your name dragged across the noticeboards on numerous occasions. Looking at ARBMAC, I see that you are currently on an active 1RR restriction for Albania, broadly construed. You have reverted twice in the last 24 hours. I don't want to take you to AE, but I can guarantee nobody there will look kindly on that.

Albania has been inserted and removed from the infobox numerous times because no source has ever been provided detailing a real, physical contribution to the war. Other marginal countries such as Bulgaria, Romania, Norway, and Spain are included because they contributed either ships or planes and men. I have not seen a single source which can make such a claim for Albania, only meaningless, nebulous talk of "contributions" without specification. Vague "contributions" of member countries are sufficiently covered by the inclusion of NATO in the infobox. If you can provide a source which details Albania's contribution in terms of ships, planes, and/or personnel, then we may consider including it. Otherwise, it's just clutter. ~~ Lothar von Richthofen (talk) 14:57, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The text you are edit warring to include is redundant and non-notable. It's been reverted by several editors, so as per WP:BRD please discuss on the talk page before re-adding. In addition, you've violated your 1RR WP:ARBMAC sanction. Please self revert or I'll be forced to request enforcement on this issue. TDL (talk) 22:14, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'll also ask you to read and follow the concepts at WP:BRD. You've identified some recent actions that may deserve inclusion in the article, but more than one editor feels the recent "announcements" are premature or rumors. Wikipedia does not try to be a breaking news site; it some cases preliminary reports turn out to be valid, in other cases, they turn out to be unfounded, or garbled. It does hurt to have official sources with formal announcements. I see you are using the article talk page, I urge you to continue, and to use it more. Explain you proposed edit, why the source is valid, if it is, and other editors can discuss whether the information is notable, and whether the timing is right.

So far, I see the normal give and take of editors, I'm trying to make sure it doesn't develop into an edit war.--SPhilbrick(Talk) 18:22, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Young Greens of Durrës has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable organization and no independent reliable sources cited. Article created by user with an obvious conflict of interest.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Conflict of interest

Hello, Irvi Hyka. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Young Greens of Durrës, you may need to consider our guidance on conflicts of interest.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. TDL (talk) 06:34, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
