Killer Flamingos

Killer Flamingos is an American Pop Rock band from Dearborn, Michigan, signed to Chim Cham Records. They released their debut album Sick Society in 2002.

History

The band has acquired an impressive fan-base in the Detroit area, particularly in Novi, Royal Oak, and Ann Arbor frequenting venues like The Fifth Avenue Ballroom and The Millennium Club.

On Saturday, September 3rd, 2005 they won The Detroit News Sonic Summer contest Saturday at the Chrysler Arts, Beats & Eats festival.[2]

Musical style and influences

Their repertoire includes original titles and choice covers including songs by Prince, Micheal Jackson, Journey, The Bangles, Dexy's Midnight Runners, and more.

Influences include No Doubt, The Smiths, Garbage, The Beatles, and others.[3]
