Nortel Government Solutions Inc. a U.S. company wholly owned by Nortel is an American multinational corporation created in 2005 when Nortel acquired PEC Solutions as the DoD and Government arm of Nortel focused on the U.S. Federal government.

Corporate history

PEC, founded in 1985, was a professional services firm that helped government clients with Internet technology solutions and other advanced technologies. The company specialized in secure web-enabling government solutions for clients in homeland security, criminal justice and intelligence, defense and civilian agencies within the federal government and at state and local levels.

On June 6, 2005, Nortel Networks Inc. completed the acquisition of PEC Solutions, Inc. Together they are Nortel Government Solutions Inc.
