Generally, most world governments congratulated Trump on his victory in the election.
States
- Afghanistan: The Taliban government's foreign ministry voiced hope that "the incoming U.S. administration will adopt a pragmatic approach to ensure tangible advancement in bilateral relations, allowing both nations to open a new chapter of relations grounded in mutual engagement."[1]
- Argentina: President of Argentina Javier Milei congratulated Trump on his victory.[2] He plans to visit the US and meet with Trump the day prior to his inauguration.[3]
- Armenia: Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan congratulated Trump on his "impressive victory".[4] In a letter he adressed to US President-elect Trump, Pashinyan emphasized the "unprecedented progress" that both countries have made in partnership and bilateral relations, and hopes that the cooperation between Armenia and the US will be "further strengthened" under Trump's leadership.[5]

- European Union: President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola and President of the European Council Charles Michel sent their congratulations to Trump. Von der Leyen said that the EU and the United States are "more than allies" and encouraged for a "strong transatlantic relationship".[77] Metsola emphasized "Europe's readiness to cooperate in tackling the many global challenges ahead",[78] while Michel called for "continuing our constructive cooperation."[79]
