|||
|||

Richards estimates that the cumulative impact of Akbar’s campaigns in the north, including the Siege of Ranthambore and the Third Battle of Panipat, led to the deaths of 1 million people or more, both from direct military action and the resulting famines and displacements (John F. Richards, The Mughal Empire, 1993). Similarly, Satish Chandra’s analysis highlights the widespread destruction and execution orders that contributed to a high civilian death toll (Satish Chandra, Medieval India: From Sultanate to the Mughals, 1997). The total number of deaths resulting from the Mughal conquest of North India (1526–1605) is difficult to ascertain, as historical records from the period do not provide exact cumulative figures. However, estimates from modern historians suggest that between 1 million and 2 million people, including both military personnel and civilians, perished as a result of warfare, massacres, and famines caused by the Mughal campaigns.</ref> |

October 2023
Hi Potestade! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Spanish Empire that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia—it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. TompaDompa (talk) 20:14, 28 October 2023 (UTC)
November 2023
Please do not add or change content, as you did at List of largest empires, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. I reverted your addition of the Spanish Empire to the "share of world population" table as the cited source does not verify the figure you introduced. TompaDompa (talk) 21:08, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages by deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did at List of largest empires, you may be blocked from editing. Misrepresenting sources as you did by claiming that the Spanish Empire was the largest empire between 1550 and 1750 even though the cited source says something completely different (see p. 117) is completely unacceptable. I have reverted this. TompaDompa (talk) 21:14, 27 November 2023 (UTC)
December 2023
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at 2000, you may be blocked from editing.
- Please read WP:RYSPORT, then if you still believe a non-global sporting event should be included, discuss it on the article's talk page. ☾Loriendrew☽ ☏(ring-ring) 21:21, 1 December 2023 (UTC)
July 2024
Please do not insert fringe or undue weight content into articles. An article should not give undue weight to any aspects of the subject but should strive to treat each aspect with a weight appropriate to its significance to the subject. Please use the article's talk page to discuss the material and its appropriate weight within the article. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 16:38, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
- Fair enough, I'll add the topic to the talk page, then. Potestade (talk) 16:57, 12 July 2024 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 2
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of wars by death toll, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Liberian Civil War and White Terror. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, --DPL bot (talk) 19:55, 2 October 2024 (UTC)

- ^ Historian John F. However, estimates from modern historians suggest that between 1 million and 2 million people, including both military personnel and civilians, perished as a result of warfare, massacres, and famines caused by the Mughal campaigns.

As our estimate of the civilian deaths in the Tigray war is regularly mentioned in the media, it seems important to share our evolving understanding and updated (lower) number of civilian deaths as a result of the Tigray war and blockade. We concluded that the IPC/FEWS categorization, on which our Tigray statistics are mainly based, overestimates hunger mortality. Along with developing information on the ground, this would point to a total number of civilian deaths ranging from 162,000 to 378,000.
