Jakaria Showkhin (born 15 November 1985) is a Bangladeshi Writer and Director. He is a stylish storyteller, best known for his unique style of romantic films. Always explores many types of relationships on the reel. The audience gets a larger than life feel from his films.
Biography
Showkhin was born in Madaripur. He was raised in this town. His father is a freedom fighter. Then he came in Dhaka and joins a Theater group.
Personal life
Showkhin is married to Effat Ara Yasmin and has one daughters, Renaissance Jakaria (b. 2017).
Career
Jakaria Showkhin started his career as a Journalist and Writer. After that he interested about filmmaking. Finally he made his debut in TV Movies with Prem o Khun (2014). It starred Anisur Rahman Milon and Nusrat Imrose Tisha. The movie wasn't a major success. But his first success comes with Nil Roudrer Ghran (2016). It starred Afran Nisho, Mehazabien Chowdhury and Tawsif Mahbub.
Showkhin is well-known for many successful films, like Tomar Jonno Mon (2017), Shohore Notun Premik (2018), Jodi Tumi Jante (2018), Jalshaghor (2018), Shesh Chirkut (2019), Urchi Tomar Preme (2022), Bulona Amay (2022) and Sweet Kiss (2023).
Recently he got huge popularity for Pothe Holo Porichoy (2023), Pothe Holo Deri (2023), Uraal Pakhi (2023) and Rupkotha (2024).
