Kate Meguire Wiesner (born February 11, 2001) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a defender for the Washington Spirit of the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She played college soccer for the Penn State Nittany Lions. She was selected by the Spirit in the first round of the 2024 NWSL Draft.

Early life

Wiesner was raised in Monrovia, California, the daughter of Scott and Mary Wiesner.[1][2]

College career

Wiesner played for the Penn State Nittany Lions from 2019 to 2023.[1]

Club career

The Washington Spirit drafted Weisner seventh overall in the first round of the 2024 NWSL Draft.[3]

International career

She was called into a senior national team camp as a training player in June 2024.[4]
