- Nikki G. Setzler (D-West Columbia), representing District 8 from 1976–1984 and then representing District 26 since 1985. He announced that he would not be seeking re-election on January 10, 2024. [6]
- Thomas McElveen (D-Sumter), representing District 35 since 2012. He announced that he would not be seeking re-election on March 4, 2024. [7]
Republicans
- Dwight Loftis (R-Greenville) previously represented district 19 in the South Carolina House of Representatives for 23 years from 1996 to 2019, and is representing District 6 since 2019. He announced that he would not be seeking re-election.
Independents
- Mia McLeod (I-Richland), representing House District 79 from 2011 to 2016 and Senate District 22 since 2017, covering parts of the Columbia area. After leaving the Democratic Party to become an independent in 2023,[8] on April 1st, 2024, she announced she would not be seeking re-election.[9]
