Andy Bell (born 1963) is a British journalist and Political Editor.

Early life

Bell is a History graduate from Corpus Christi College, Cambridge and won a Thouron scholarship to study International relations at University of Pennsylvania.[1]

Career

Bell has been employed by ITN's Five News since April 1999.[2] For ten years prior to this, he worked for the BBC as their Foreign Affairs Editor of the Today programme. Bell was also their Paris Correspondent.[3]

In December 2023, his debut novel Sovereign Territory was announced through Biteback Publishing.[4]

Personal life

Bell has documented the diaries of his grandfather Edwin Vaughan, who fought with the British Army in World War One.[5] He is married to Angela Bell. They have three children. His daughter Georgia Bell is a British champion middle distance-runner.[6]
