Hello I have created article about our dictionary application and you deleted it several times. I do not like that at all. In fact I hate it so much that I will NEVER create ANY article on wikipedia again. I will not contribute anything and will not help you with anything. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Arael2 (talk • contribs).

The information on homepage of the program contains same information I want to have here. But since you deleted it several times I will NEVER create ANY article here again and warn all everyone I know about what you do. I see no reason why anyone should spend time contributing anything when someone like you deletes it. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Arael2 (talk • contribs).

There is a debate going on at Adriana Lima's talk page whether to list her myspace under external links, and it's basically going nowhere. I believe myspace should be normally avoided, but WP:EL says social networking sites should be avoided "except for a link to a page that is the subject of the article or an official page of the article subject," so I think her myspace should stay at least for now. I want to hear your take on whether her myspace should be listed under her external links or not. mirageinred 20:59, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Here is a photo related question. Can I use old photographs from a city website for an article? [4] Thanks if you can help me with this.--Kranar drogin 03:30, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Ok, I won't use those pictures. How about this book, is this ok to reference for my city of Oregon article? [6] I doubt if I can use the photos in here either.--Kranar drogin 04:24, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

New question. I am working on improving articles for Illinois. One of the things that have come up are about templates. We started a Wikipedia:WikiProject Illinois/Templates page, but there are about three that were created before we made a standard. What I would like to know, is there an official standard on how county templates should appear? I personally do not like listing the population and think that "Points of Interest" clutter up the template when they should be able to find that info in the county article. Could I have your take on this if you have the opportunity?--Kranar drogin 04:57, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Now we are having an issue with a guy in the group complaining that we shouldn't be putting the county name in townships, example Marion Township. WOuld you mind weighing in for a moment on this talk page Illinois Township Questions, and giving me your point of view. It is towards the bottom of the article where he comes in at. Basically, we have been modeling our project after those who worked on Ohio and Pensylvania.--Kranar drogin 22:25, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know how to rate pages, but I was wondering if you would be able to rate this article here The Soldiers' Monument (Oregon, Illinois) whenever you have a chance, or whoever you know who else could do it.--Kranar drogin 04:55, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I need help merging two articles. New Trier Township, Illinois needs to be merged into New Trier Township, Cook County, Illinois. Accidently created two pages here, and I am trying to keep them along the same lines as all other townships of that county. Says I need to request the help of admin, and you are the only one I know.--Kranar drogin 03:32, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

- Thanks for your assistance. That makes things all cleaned up in the Category:Townships in Illinois.--Kranar drogin 03:56, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have two more articles that need to be merged. Brooklyn, Illinois needs to be merged with Brooklyn, Saint Clair County, Illinois. I am not sure exactly which one would be better off merged together, but it looks like eliminating the one with the county name in it would be the best bet. There seems to be only one Brooklyn in Illinois.--Kranar drogin 03:16, 14 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am also going to begin work on getting this article Rockford, Illinois to an "A" rating I hope. Could you give me some pointers on this? I already have ideas on how to fix up the school district section, but any help you can give me in at least suggesting, would be a great help. Thanks!--Kranar drogin 05:04, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There's an AFD I was recently made aware of, it seems like it's very hairline...I don't mean to bite, but it seems like a case of new users misunderstanding policy...you might want to look into it. I'm too confused by the subject to be able to moderate it. Here be the AFD. Have at it! DoomsDay349 22:54, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I'm just curious why you opted not to delete this article as a copyvio. The first paragraph of the article is copied from [this page] as tagged, and the rest of it is copied from [here]. (I didn't know how to tag two urls in the db-copyvio template.) I'm relatively new here and still have much to learn, so please clue me in. - Thanks for the info! Strange about Google -- I've noticed occasionally more results with "s around the phrase than without, which should not be happening from a logical standpoint. They're obviously monkeying with the way results are fetched and/or displayed. -- Butseriouslyfolks 04:55, 13 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Please don't cite copyright infringement as your first reason for deletion on an article such as this one, because we always get authorisation for stuff like this, and it's a waste of our time having to research something that should have been deleted for non-notability or blatant advertising. - I've had a go at cleaning up the article to make it look better and generally make it more encyclopedic. Could you let me know what you think? I'm not by any means saying I've done an amazing job, I simply formatted it because of a request from User:L8rgator. A few days ago I contributed a link to the Computer and video game item clichés article, pointing to a project which started two years ago and concentrates exclusively on the crates and barrels topic (actually I think it´s much more than just a cliché, but thats another point). You deleted it referring to the 3rd guidline.
Instead of other links on this wikipedia article (like Gamers Manifesto, 1up.com, etc.) the site does not contain any advertisment, it´s not a wiki, blog or social bookmarking site, nor does it require any payment or external applications. Instead it is a site "that contains neutral and accurate material that cannot be integrated into the Wikipedia article due to [...] amount of detail" (see: "What should be linked").
Just to make things clear: I do not gain any direct benefit by linking this site with wikipedia at all. Instead it´s my seemingly out fashioned way to "give something back" to the community.
Thinking about the early Nineties, when the Web 1.0 was a place people contributed content to the non-commercialized Internet by writing html, the "you tried to promote a personal site" accusation bewilders me. Anyway, maybe just an era has passed and I don´t want to realize it yet.

Figure since you are admin and all, that I will report them to you. I am having constant problems with two articles:
Roscoe, Illinois with User:71.207.120.244
Collinsville, Illinois with two or more people if you look at the history.
Any assistance would be great in this. I really don't know what to do.--Kranar drogin 21:54, 16 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I understand that the essay "Wikipedia is failing" has gotten re-userfied, at least for a while. I understand the R1 (links to deleted article) and R2 (links from mainspace to userspace) rationales for deleting the redirect page WP:FAIL. However, that essay is still a matter of public interest and discussion, and that link to it still appears in those discussions, notably in the "reply" essay "Wikipedia is not failing" and its talk page. Yet new readers only see a redlink, nothing that will take them to the original essay where it is now. While it's still "newsworthy" (being discussed), would you please allow that link to work, recreating WP:FAIL as #REDIRECT [[User:Worldtraveller/Wikipedia is failing]] ? Who knows what may happen in, say, two weeks? The issue may be resolved, or the essay may return to mainspace, "or the horse may learn to fly". Thanks! -- Ben 01:45, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, I am not sure how to add the reference tag to the bottom of the page. I got about as far as adding the <ref></ref> tags and then that is it and end up just giving up and adding instead. If you wouldn't mind telling me how to add a ref tag properly on the bottom of the page, I would greatly appericate it. Have a good weekend....SVRTVDude (Yell - Toil) 17:36, 17 February 2007 (UTC)

You yourself said "Consensus is to not respect trademarks except in very few specific cases (in example, when the second letter is the capitalized one)." I think it's totally unfair to make just a few exceptions. Allow it or not. Sorry, but I have the impression you're acting with discrimination. You can make an exception for the iPod but not for the Japanese artists and their culture. But OK, not my site, I'll have to follow your rules. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Iori (talk • contribs).
