February 2012

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, adding or significantly changing content without citing a reliable source, as you did with this edit to Lviv University, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources, please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Tgeairn (talk) 19:25, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits

Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 22:06, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to List of people born in Ukraine. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Tgeairn (talk) 22:24, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not attack other editors, as you did at List of people born in Ukraine. Comment on content, not on contributors. Personal attacks damage the community and deter users. Please stay cool and keep this in mind while editing. Thank you. The edit summary here is totally unacceptable. Sasha (talk) 23:17, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Violation of ArbCom ruling on Eastern European articles

This is your last warning. The next time you make personal attacks on other people, as you did at User:David Eppstein, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Comment on content, not on fellow editors. You are engaged in WP:Disruptive editing, in violation of the ArbCom ruling on Eastern Europe, by inserting dubious, utterly unreferenced claims in articles about Ukraine and its neighbors, especially Poland and Russia. You have repeatedly made baseless personal attacks on User:David Eppstein. You can be blocked for any one of these actions.  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 23:18, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am reporting you for enforcement at ArbCom.  Kiefer.Wolfowitz 23:42, 25 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]
To enforce an arbitration decision, you have been blocked from editing for a period of 5 days under WP:DIGWUREN for personal attacks and disruptive editing, as detailed at WP:AE#76.102.173.102. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, please read the guide to appealing arbitration enforcement blocks and follow the instructions there to appeal your block. Notice to administrators: In a March 2010 decision, the Committee held that "Administrators are prohibited from reversing or overturning (explicitly or in substance) any action taken by another administrator pursuant to the terms of an active arbitration remedy, and explicitly noted as being taken to enforce said remedy, except: (a) with the written authorization of the Committee, or (b) following a clear, substantial, and active consensus of uninvolved editors at a community discussion noticeboard (such as WP:AN or WP:ANI). If consensus in such discussions is hard to judge or unclear, the parties should submit a request for clarification on the proper page. Any administrator that overturns an enforcement action outside of these circumstances shall be subject to appropriate sanctions, up to and including desysopping, at the discretion of the Committee."

The Arbitration Committee has permitted administrators to impose discretionary sanctions (information on which is at Wikipedia:Arbitration Committee/Discretionary sanctions) on any editor who is active on pages broadly related to Eastern Europe. Discretionary sanctions can be used against an editor who repeatedly or seriously fails to adhere to the purpose of Wikipedia, any expected standards of behavior, or any normal editorial process. If you engage in further inappropriate behavior in this area, you may be placed under sanctions, which can include blocks, a revert limitation, or an article ban. The Committee's full decision can be read in the Wikipedia:Requests for arbitration/Digwuren#Final decision section of the decision page.
