The use of open evaporation of water, via cooling towers, takes advantage of evaporative cooling. This entails a phase change, as liquid water is converted to vapour. Because the effectuation of this phase change requires a tremendous amount of heat, this process of perfect for getting rid of the huge amounts of heat generated by datacenters.
