This template is to be used in the headword lines for Polish common nouns.

Note: It is strongly recommended to include a declension table in each entry; for more information refer to {{pl-decl-noun}}.

Parameters

The following parameters apply to all Lechitic noun templates.

Override the head; used to override the default linking behavior of multiword terms.
|1=
The gender(s), comma-separated. The following genders are supported:
  • m-in: masculine inanimate
  • m-anml: masculine animal
  • m-pr: masculine personal
  • f: feminine
  • n: neuter
  • m-pr-p or vr-p: masculine personal (aka virile) plural
  • nv-p: plural, other than masculine personal (aka nonvirile)

Genitive singular form(s).
|pl=, |pl2=, ...
Nominative plural form(s).
|genpl=, |genpl2=, ...
Genitive plural form(s).
|f=, |f2=, ...
Female equivalent noun(s).

Diminutive noun(s).

Indicate that this noun is indeclinable; adds the adjective to Category:Polish indeclinable nouns.

The following additional parameters apply specifically to Polabian and Slovincian:

Nominative dual form(s).

Inline modifiers

All params above except |head=, |1= and |indecl= support inline modifiers, e.g. |dim=achtelk<q:rare> to attach a qualifier rare to a diminutive. The following modifiers are recognized:

  • q: qualifier, e.g. rare; this appears *BEFORE* the term, parenthesized and italicized
  • qq: qualifier, e.g. rare; this appears *AFTER* the term, parenthesized and italicized
  • g: comma-separated list of gender/number specifications
  • id: sense ID; see {{senseid}}
