Speedy deletion nomination of Moby Dick (band)

edit

A tag has been placed on Moby Dick (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. WuhWuzDat 08:52, 8 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Moby Dick

edit

Hi Satellite779. Thanks for correcting and expanding my additions in Moby Dick (Serbian band). As it is misleading that at least two articles which links to Moby Dick (band) means the Hungarian metal band, I moved Moby Dick (band) to Moby Dick (Serbian band) and changed Moby Dick (band) to a disambiguation page. --Ilion2 (talk) 14:45, 9 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nicolas Hülkenberg

Ah, no problem. The GP2 site always used to get it wrong, but here we're just perfectionists. ;) Erm...feel free to leave it. It's just that from the recent articles that have been created for GP2-level drivers, we just leave it as a generic racing driver in the lede, before mentioning their career. It's just personal preference I guess! Cs-wolves(talk) 12:55, 24 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Ferrari F60

The major reason is that without the {{-}} operator you still get a large split in the article, but in this case it occurs in the middle of a section, not between sections, as the results table is forced to the bottom of the article while its title and key information moves up. The infobox continues down the page, drawing the readers' eyes with it, and the Contents box clearly lists other sections beyond those shown up the page, so there is little reason to think that people won't scroll down. Basically, if there has to be a page split it is better to do it between sections not in the middle of one. Pyrope 15:57, 26 August 2009 (UTC)Reply
