Non-free use disputed for Image:Xxsh.gif

edit
  This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Xxsh.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 12:21, 6 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Tai Po FC crest.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Tai Po FC crest.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Hong Kong-Shanghai Inter Club Championship

edit

Hi! Thanks a lot for your lots of contribution on Hong Kong football in wikipedia. I've noticed that you have just done some update on Hong Kong-Shanghai Inter Club Championship (滬港球會盃) and you added in a 2005 one. However, according to HKFA, the first staging should be the one in 2006. [1]. The 2005 one should be the last staging of the previous Hong Kong-Shanghai club (港滬盃). [2] Despite the competing teams are clubs, the name of the cup hadnt changed yet and should be categorized to Hong Kong-Shanghai Cup. Cheers.Checkiema (talk) 12:23, 6 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Re:Hong Kong-Shanghai Inter Club Championship

edit

oh yea! = =" You know how "good" our HKFA is......

It's really really hard to say.... Maybe we just keep this current one now, because the judgement are more obvious. Let's see whether next year's competition can give us some more ideas.

Manchester United F.C.

edit

Mate, just because something is the way it is on one article doesn't mean we have to do it the same way on every other. If you can present me with a good reason why it should be in there (other than "because it's on other articles") then maybe it can stay in, but at the moment I see no reason why it should. – PeeJay 08:44, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Yes, but do you know why that is? I could just as easily go and change what it says there, and you would be none the wiser. Basically, in my opinion, the only reason to include the league in the parameter for the previous season is if the team played in a different league last season to the one they are currently in. – PeeJay 09:16, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I would agree with Antonytse on this one, although it is more important for the clubs that have just been promoted, eg West Bromwich Albion F.C., league position 1st, and league English premiership, sound familiar? A degree of uniformity is desireable across related articles Fasach Nua (talk) 09:18, 26 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:HKFA crest.png)

Thanks for uploading Image:HKFA crest.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Template:Fb cm3 match

edit

Hi, you did a good improvement on Template:Fb cm3 match, adding HC and AC for home and away grounds different from the regular ones used by the teams. I've improved it a bit to show HR (home replacement) and AR (away replacement) instead of H and A, to be easier to readers spot the difference. I used R because I didn't figure out what C means. If it is better than replacement, I could change it.--ClaudioMB (talk) 13:30, 16 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Little Fighter 2‎

Hi Antonytse, please consider removing the version history table from the Little Fighter 2 article. As this is a general encyclopedia, such specific information is indiscriminate information (WP:NOT#INFO). If there is reliable, independent information on the different versions, you could write a paragraph of prose instead. Thanks, Marasmusine (talk) 18:05, 30 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Cristiano Alves Pereira as Togolese international

edit

In 2003, the Togo national football team's coach was Antônio Dumas. He called to Cris and other brazilian footballers, in the attempt of increasing the level of game of Togo. [3]. In 2004, Dumas went away for the bad results, and with he, also went away Cris and the rest of the Brazilian-Togoleses.--Kolins (talk) 03:27, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Cris played, leastwise, two matches with Togo:
1) Against ghanian club Asante Kotoko in a friendly match on 29 June 2003 in Stade de Kégué (Lomé). [4].
2) Against Mauritania in a 2004 African Cup of Nations Qualifying match on 5 July 2003 in Stade olympique (Nouakchott). [5].

However, I didn't found no site to confirm whether he played or not played against Cape Verde and Kenya, 2004 African Cup of Nations Qualifying matches on June 2003 where are confirmed other brazilian-togoleses. With the following link, [6], it seems that Chris has also played, but doesn't confirm anything. My greetings to you.--Kolins (talk) 15:28, 22 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Dejan Antonić article

edit

The reasons that I always returned it to the old version is because :

1. I started this article when no one has even remembered to write an article about him (after all his dedication for Hong Kong football) with the very reliable resource which means I asked the person (Dejan Antonić) directly before I made this article and always asked him first whenever I wanted to edit this article, and about the "Yugoslavia U-20", I asked him which one is correct, considering he was the one who was in the squad, so I decided to ask him myself as well about it, and the correct answer is Yugoslavia U-21, he told me that in that moment U-20 squad didn't even exist (I already wrote you last time about this reason but you seemed don't care). You just kept returning back into your version "Yugoslavia U-20"

2. I don't like when you just deleted all the links what I provided which tell the truth about this man. Dejan is a great man and yet a great coach, so with all the respect, I want to contribute my appreciation to him for all his dedication he gave to Hong Kong football for years, since he was a player and now is coaching the Hong Kong national team.

I hope we can give him some credits for all his efforts he gave to this country (in football), hoping that he can do something good for Hong Kong football. I really hope that you can meet and know him in person and see for yourself how great he is as a person. Have a nice day :) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hkfans852 (talkcontribs) 00:54, 20 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Problems with upload of File:Double Flower FA crest.png

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Double Flower FA crest.png. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or provided a license tag. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, select the appropriate license tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you can't find a suitable license tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Citations are your friend

edit

As I mentioned at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, I agree you should provide citations for some of the material you are adding. If you don't know how to do that, let me know and I'll help. I've also urged Mrlodotcom to tone down the rhetoric—I hope that will happen and we can all concentrate on improving the articles.--SPhilbrickT 16:33, 14 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

A request

edit

Guys (where I grow up the term is gender neutral), you both have the best interest of Wikipedia at heart. Antonytse, you want to add useful material to the Hong Kong soccer site. Mrlodotcom, you want to make sure material on the site is properly cited. Both goals are positive, but there's too much energy devoted to other tasks. Citations aren't the easiest thing on Wikipedia, and many people find it easier to add good material than to properly cite it. My goal was to add a couple examples so that Antonytse could use them as a model, and add more. Unfortunately, I don't know much about soccer. I tried to find some sources and I got a little lost.
Antonytse, could you provide a link to a web site where you find your information, and maybe I can try again.
Mrlodotcom, instead of complaining about the lack of citations, could you add one citation so Antonytse can see how it is done?
For both of you, there is a new citation style allowed this week, which I find makes it easier to read the editing page, and makes more sense. In short, you put a reference name in the main text, and put the reference details down in the reference section. You can read exactly how to do it at Wikipedia:Footnotes#List-defined_references.--SPhilbrickT 12:41, 19 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

My overall reply on past incident

edit

To antonytse and sphilbrick,

Yes, I feel the same, it is affecting my life as well and let's end the matter. I think it is quite normal for people to have different views on referencing and I shouldn't have such a big reaction. I think it is just some misunderstandings that causes us trouble. I want to say sorry to both of you, antonytse and sphilbrick. Maybe I should change my style and manner and think more before arguing. Antonytse, I apologize to you on the incidents before. When I look back I think I am wrong on some viewpoints as well, I think you are reasonable on some viewpoints as well. I think the cause of the problem is our difference on some viewpoints. I think my manner is not good as well. I think I should improve my manner as well. Mrlodotcom Talk contribs 17:19, 19 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just want to discuss one thing peacefully, no offense, whether "unreferenced" is equal to "non-deliberate plagiarism". Really no offense. The fact is that all the serious scholars at universities (master level or above) said "unreferenced is equal to plagiarism". When you say the contrary, they will be very angry. Also I think the reason that people misunderstand it is because of the chinese translation of the word "plagiarism". I think the chinese translation of that word is not good, that's why it leads to misunderstandings. By the way, I won't say I am right or wrong as I also want to clarify it. Anyway just treat it is as a casual discussion or just forget it right now.  Mrlodotcom Talk contribs 17:34, 19 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

hi Antonytse,

hey, let's be friends and I saw the 2009-10 Hong Kong first division league is very systematic to contain all the information. Especially I like the usage of frames and it contains all the updated score. And I feel the "HKFA.com" site is very poor, don't you have the same feeling? I think your information is much better and quite updated. Also I think South China is very unlucky to lose 4-5 away. Also, I always visit Mr Lo's blog, just as the local fans. Those info on wiki are quite good as well, to keep us updated.  Mrlodotcom Talk contribs 17:52, 19 September 2009 (UTC)Reply
