Alexander Stewart, 3rd Laird of Galries

Alexander Stewart, 3rd Laird of Garlies (c. 1465 - 9 September 1513) was a Scottish nobleman. Great-Great Grandfather of Alexander Stewart, 1st Earl of Galloway

Early Life

He was born c. 1465. He was the eldest son of Alexander Stewart, 2nd Laird of Galries and Elisabeth Douglas(?) daughter of Archibald Douglas, 5th Earl of Douglas(?). Of his sisters there was, Jeanette Stewart, and Johanna Stewart, who's marital statuses were unknown. His only brother Walter Stewart, would become the Laird of Barclye.

Death

Alexander Stewart would be apart of the Battle of Flodden on the ninth of September 1513. He would be killed in battle.
