This is less a full comment and more a place to share thoughts that need work before being worthy of being in the article.

Monkton has a nature reserve in an old chalk quarry. The quarry was used to supply the building of *I must find out* and was active from ???? to ??? when ????. It opened as a nature reserve in ???? and it is maintain by ????.
