editI have added his Louisville Courier-Journal article. Capitalistroadster 11:12, 26 July 2006 (UTC)
- Hey there Capitalistroadster -- I removed the content that was here. It is great content that should be worked in, but it is a copyright violation to cut and paste it here. The link to the article[1] should suffice. Justforasecond 00:51, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
I've downgraded this. It's very sketchy on the details of his life, and needs more detail to become a higher-class article. Buckshot06 11:58, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
I am confused, the article says he is the first african american navy diver but then states that there were african american navy divers in ww2, which would obviously be before him. That makes no sense to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.89.58.22 (talk) 11:40, 6 March 2010 (UTC)
- No, he was the first black master diver.Kbog (talk) 00:17, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Quonset Point Blue Angel
edit"Brashear first did work as a diver retrieving approximately 16,000 rounds of ammunition that fell off a barge which had broken in half and sunk to the bottom. On his first tour of shore duty in Quonset Point, Rhode Island, his duties included the salvaging of airplanes (including one Blue Angel) and recovering multiple dead bodies."
Can anyone help me confirm that the blue angel incident was about Harley H. Hall?

Korean War
editThe infobox states that he served in the Korean War, before he became a diver, but the article text doesn't mention his role in the war at all. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 12:05, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
