Macrogastra plicatula is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Clausiliidae, the door snails.[1]

Like all the species in this family, Macrogastra plicatula has a clausilium. The weight of the adult live snail is 66.0±1.6 mg.[2]
