Changing Photos
editDo not replace photos of high quality with ones of lower quality simply because the lower quality ones are newer. You should use official congressional portraits whenever possible, regardless of date. Do not change crop to landscape. Portrait orientation is preferred. If you make bulk changes again with photos you may be reported. A lot of clean up/time is required to undo edits. Peter M. Grund (talk) 03:28, 20 December 2018 (UTC)

editPlease do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Joe Manchin. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. Natureium (talk) 16:29, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
This is a standard message to notify contributors about an administrative ruling in effect. It does not imply that there are any issues with your contributions to date.
You have recently shown interest in post-1932 politics of the United States and closely related people. Due to past disruption in this topic area, a more stringent set of rules called discretionary sanctions is in effect. Any administrator may impose sanctions on editors who do not strictly follow Wikipedia's policies, or the page-specific restrictions, when making edits related to the topic.
For additional information, please see the guidance on discretionary sanctions and the Arbitration Committee's decision here. If you have any questions, or any doubts regarding what edits are appropriate, you are welcome to discuss them with me or any other editor.
Francis Rooney
editOur standard on Wikipedia for US Government political articles is that we use the most recent official photo, which is shown on the politicians website/official government social media (a majority of the time). In this case with Francis Rooney, it’s the one with the light blue background. Please provide proof that the dark blue background is the most recent official article. Also, per [[:WP:BRD], you need to discuss it once your edit was reverted... not edit war. Corky 19:35, 30 January 2019 (UTC)
Oliver North
editHi! If you can find a source corroborating that Carolyn D. Meadows has succeeded Oliver North as President of the NRA, we'd certainly appreciate it! (For the moment, however, no reliable sources note Lt. Col. North's successor.) Thank you! —Javert2113 (Siarad.|¤) 19:59, 29 April 2019 (UTC)

Please refrain from making test edits in Wikipedia pages, such as those you made to Nashua, New Hampshire, even if you intend to fix them later. Your edits have been reverted. US Attorney predecessors
editHi,
A good majority of the U.S. Attorneys currently serving are doing so in an acting capacity, most since January 2021. In the case of Thomas T. Cullen he hasn't served as US Attorney in almost a year. In the case of Raj Parekh he has been documented to be serving since January 2021 (see here and here so to list previous predecessors that were not the immediate occupant (or at the very least many months out) is, in my view, incorrect.
