The claim that "the weight of the ice sheet has depressed the central land area to form a basin lying more than 300 m (980 ft) below sea level" seems to be spurious and is not supported by the more current source provided. The DK Atlas cited does mention this claim but is contradicted by the article on the Grand_Canyon_(Greenland) page, which mentions that the canyon is believed to predate the ice sheet and is corroborated by more current sources. I believe this sentence should be removed and a section should be added discussing Greenland's Grand Canyon in its place. Struckweather (talk) 15:38, 19 November 2024 (UTC)Reply
