im making an action rpg game with overworld combat and i need the generator to make four directional sword swing animations etc. for the characters as well, i know the tool makes sideview battlers but im just using overworld characters

Can this tool create 16x16 sprites?
Hello zanto, the tool creates sprites 24x24 per frame, they fit all of my 16x16 tiles but the character frames itself are 24x24.
just to make sure I understand. The frames are 24x24, but are the characters 16x16? I can trim the frames, but if the characters are bigger than 16x16, then I can't use this tool. I'm working on a game for a retro console, so I must follow its restrictions.
Hello Zanto, it depends on what you add to the character, for example, the character base (naked) fits a 16x16 frame, now depending on the hair or the hats that you use, he will go over the 16 frame height, a little editing could get the sprites to 16x16.

Can I use this exe as part of my game for player customization
Can you add an attack for characters facing toward or away from the camera, in addition to left (and flipped for right)?
will see what I can do, I could add a overlay on top of it as attack, would work I think.
Does this come as a single .exe file, or do I get to peek the parts/components images and possibly add my own parts to the mix?

it's a exe file yes, you cannot add or remove pieces into the creator.
Is it possible to generate spritesheet just has the head/hair part for example? (without bodies etc) So that I can draw it on top of the player as a hair preset they can pick.
This is an awesome idea. What did you use to program this? What if you added a "test drive" feature where users could walk around an area with their sprites?
