The University of Kentucky Economic Development Collaborative (EDC) is a network of campus and community stakeholders who oversee UK’s economic development and business engagement activities. The mission of the EDC is to proactively grow economic prosperity in the Commonwealth of Kentucky in the areas of talent, innovation, place, partnership, and economic engagement.

UK Students Compete in 250LEX Innovation Event

LEXINGTON, Ky. — Student entrepreneurs from the University of Kentucky, Transylvania University, Bluegrass Community and Technical College, and Fayette County Public Schools will present their innovative ideas at the upcoming 250LEX Entrepreneurial Showdown. The live pitch competition will take place from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 16, at the Transylvania University Campus Center. Five student-led ventures will be featured, each focused on solving real-world problems through creativity, technology and practical design.

University of Kentucky kicks off fourth cohort of Construction Business Accelerator

The University of Kentucky and Turner Construction welcomed 20 businesses to the fourth cohort of the Construction Business Accelerator (CBA) program during a reception and first session held March 4 at the UK Cornerstone.

UK, key organizations partner for Spring installation of ‘Growing Our Own’ workshop series

The “Growing Our Own” workshop series is one of nine community engagement projects awarded by the University of Kentucky Office of Land-Grant Engagement. This support aims to expand collaborative efforts between UK and partners across the Commonwealth while addressing important public needs — strengthening outreach and extension efforts in Kentucky. LEXINGTON, Ky.— The University of Kentucky, in collaboration with several key partners, is launching the spring installment of the “Growing Our Own” workshop series.
