Professor and Micron Chair

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a Professor in the area of Computer Engineering. The selected incumbent will also hold the termed Micron Technology Chair in Advanced Memory Systems Design. The current term for the Chair is set to 5 years.

The School is seeking exceptional senior applicants demonstrating outstanding potential for research accomplishments, alongside a strong inclination and passion for teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Additionally, candidates should possess a keen interest and prior involvement in applying their research to real-world scenarios. Ideal candidates will boast a proven track record of research excellence in the field of computing systems design, particularly focusing on memory systems development using next generation packaging and heterogenous integration technologies. This encompasses emerging memory technologies, integrated logic and memory structures, data centric compute architectures as well as expertise in modeling, simulation, and hardware implementation of system software on next-generation computing platforms. Moreover, the successful candidate is anticipated to commit to a 20% consulting role with Micron Technology, in addition to their full-time position with the School of ECE.

Tenure-Track Faculty Positions (Open Rank) Electromagnetics

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the general area of Electromagnetics. The School is interested in broad areas of applied electromagnetics at frequencies up to THz, including but not limited to components, antennas, devices, modeling, sensors, and remote sensing.  Researchers with interdisciplinary applications of electromagnetics to other areas (bio, security, compatibility, nanoelectronics, quantum, space, etc.) are encouraged to apply. Researchers involved in either or both experimental or theoretical work are welcome to apply.

The School seeks individuals with outstanding potential for research achievement, and a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as interest and experience in translating their research to commercial applications. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent.

Tenure Track Faculty-  HI/AP (Open Rank)

The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the area of Heterogeneous Integration and Advanced Packaging (HI/AP). The School is interested in HI/AP topics including, but not limited to: bonding technologies for 3DHI, co-packaged photonics, 2.5D/3D HI technologies, advanced materials for HI/AP, system co-design and optimization, glass-core packaging technologies, and advanced assembly and interconnect technologies. Focus on system level demonstrations using HI/AP and circuit/system co-design are relevant.  

The School seeks individuals with outstanding potential for research achievement, and a strong aptitude and interest in undergraduate and graduate teaching, as well as interest and experience in translating their research to commercial applications. Applicants should have earned a Ph.D. or equivalent. The candidate will also be associated with the Georgia Tech Packaging Research Center, which is a multidisciplinary research center with strong industry and government support devoted to heterogeneous integration and advanced packaging.

Tenure Track Faculty - Solar-terrestrial Science and/or Space Weather

The Georgia Institute of Technology, in Atlanta, USA, invites applications for multiple tenure-track faculty positions in the field of solar-terrestrial science and/or space weather. Areas of interest include but are not limited to the Earth's ionosphere and magnetosphere, space weather forecasting and resilience. One position will be supported by the National Science Foundation under the Faculty Development in geoSpace Science program.
