Meet Marcela Widmayer, our Supply Chain Analyst from #SATAIRUSA "What excites me most about working in aviation is the knowledge that I work for a company that positively impacts our daily lives by enabling aircraft to fly and promoting global connections. One of the company values that resonates the most with me is "we are one team." I strongly believe in the power of teamwork. While individual efforts can yield results, the synergy of working together and supporting each other within a team leads to more effective outcomes. I cherish my experiences of collaborating with my team, both inside and outside the company. We stand by each other whenever needed, and our relationships are truly amazing. I joined Satair because I wanted to work for a company that has a meaningful impact on people's lives. It's gratifying to see the tangible results of my daily work. The aerospace industry has always fascinated me, and I found my way into this industry through my background in supply chain management. What keeps me motivated on the job at Satair is the dynamic and challenging nature of the Supply Chain field. I find fulfillment in my interactions with fellow employees and managers, appreciate the diversity within the company, and value the flexibility of the hybrid work environment. To a fellow newcomer, my advice would be to stay open-minded. We are a diverse company with individuals from different backgrounds. Be ready to learn, as there is so much to discover about Satair and the aviation industry. You'll be surprised by the depth of knowledge required behind the scenes for aircraft production. Lastly, be proactive; take the initiative and lead in supporting your teammates. One of the most memorable experiences I've had at Satair was the newcomer's day. On that day, I had the opportunity to learn more about the company where I was starting my career journey. We visited the Dulles Warehouse, where aircraft parts are stored, and I got to meet other new hires. This experience allowed me to forge connections that I still hold dear to this day." We are excited to share a recap of the opening ceremony marking the launch of our new Logistics & Service Centre in Hamburg Wilhelmsburg. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring together colleagues from across Satair, Airbus, and our valued partners CEVA Logistics, and FOUR PARX Group. Together, we celebrated this major milestone and toured the new facility, offering an exclusive look into how it will serve as our hub for large parts and tools. This new site will play a key role in strengthening our logistics network and supporting our global customers. We are looking forward to the next chapter of growth. Airbus' latest Global Services Forecast highlights a doubling of the services market to $290bn by 2043. As an Airbus Services company and key player in the commercial aviation aftermarket, Satair is proud to contribute to this growth by providing essential spare parts and support that keep the world’s fleet of 27,000 aircraft running efficiently. With the increasing demand, we are committed to equipping airlines and MROs with the expertise, solutions, and global reach needed to tackle tomorrow’s opportunities.

We’re proud to announce the official opening of our new 56,500m² Logistics & Service Centre in Hamburg Wilhelmsburg! This state-of-the-art facility is the largest warehouse within the Airbus Group and represents a major step forward in expanding Satair’s global footprint. The new site will primarily manage tools and large parts, including long-term storage and kits, and will work alongside our existing facility in Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel to create a fully integrated logistics network. As Thomas Moik COO of Satair, shared, "This expansion allows us to enhance our service to customers across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa, while continuing to strengthen our global reach." This expansion is instrumental in strengthening Satair’s aftermarket support for the entire in-service Airbus fleet, especially as demand for air travel continues to rise. Future plans for the Wilhelmsburg site include in-house carpentry and tool repair services, enabling us to offer even more comprehensive solutions to our customers worldwide.
