The inhalation of hazardous, airborne particulates can represent a real risk for those operating the equipment used to compress final tablets. 💦 UTS IP65i (#OEB class 5) is the first fully washable, universal testing system, used for processing medium and highly potent products.The working space/testing area correspond to the protection class IP65 and the cleaning process is conducted in a controller memory. Xu et al. observed three metastable phase transitions in Ni-bearing ferrosilite (Ni-En31Fs65) at 12.1(6) GPa, 15.6(6) GPa, and 31.3(25) GPa. This study revealed the possible phase transition path of Fe-rich orthopyroxene in extremely cold subducting slabs in the deep Earth: α-opx (Pbca) → β-opx (P21/c)  → γ-opx (Pbca)  → β-popx (P21ca).

🔄 Start of Revision of the EN 12726 Standard: Cork Mouth Finish with an 18.5 mm Bore Diameter 📜 History and Evolution The Cork Mouth Finish standard traces its origins back to the 1980s when it was defined by the Cetie data sheet GME501. It later evolved into the Cetie GME50.01 standard for Cork Mouth Finish for Corks and Capsules. This standard was officially transferred to the European Committee for Standardisation (CEN) in 2001 and remains a cornerstone of the wine industry. A significant revision was undertaken in 2018 to further refine the specifications. 🔍 Purpose and Specifications This standard specifies the dimensions for cork mouth finishes used in sealing wine bottles with corks and overcaps (capsules covering the cork, finish, and neck). It aims to ensure compatibility and performance across different corks and tamper-evident capsules. 📏 New Additional Size Responding to Cetie members' requests, the revised version of the standard will include a 14-mm high finish in addition to the traditional 16-mm one. This shallow finish has been widely used, and its inclusion in the EN 12726 standard will ensure compatibility of overcaps with both 14 mm and 16 mm finishes. This change meets the industry's need for consistent and reliable specifications supporting various packaging components. 📋 The revision involves: Addition of the 14 mm finish. Harmonisation with the EN 12726 standard for geometric consistency. Guarantee of compatibility with 16 mm corks and capsules. 🔧 Development and Standardisation Process The revision has been validated by the CEN through the technical working group CEN/TC 261/SC 5/WG 21 “Glass Packaging”. The Secretary General of Cetie, serving as the Convenor of this group within CEN, is overseeing the development of these standards. 📅 The initial step for Cetie involves drafting a document for a thorough review phase, with the revised standard expected to be published in 2026. 🍇 This Cork Mouth Finish standard continues to evolve, reflecting the wine industry’s need for precision and compatibility in packaging. The inclusion of the 14 mm finish alongside the 16 mm one ensures broader applicability and adherence to the latest standards.
