#DualStudies at Schaeffler: We asked our dual students what they particularly like about the practical part of their studies at Schaeffler. From the lecture hall to the racetrack: 📖🏎️ For Tim, the dual study program with us is a dream come true! He is a dual student in the field of mechanical engineering in our "Two in One" program and develops technology for our sports cars on the racetrack as part of the Schaeffler team! For Tillmann, studying at Schaeffler means teamwork. 🤝 "There is no hierarchical thinking and no ego culture. Even as a student, you are a valued colleague whose input contributes to the success of the team." He is studying business administration with a specialization in automotive retailing and particularly appreciates the variety of the course content. Sophia, who is enthusiastic about the versatility of the dual study program at Schaeffler, has a similar view: "My studies give me a very varied everyday life – it never gets boring!" This is also due to the exciting challenges that have to be mastered in the team. #Agility has been important for years to minimize risks and undesirable developments in the software development process. But being agile and flexible is not enough. Today, software must also be secure. Therefore, #cybersecurity must be integrated into the development process as a matter of principle, and security aspects should be taken into account in the planning phase. An important part of the security strategy is the implementation of #TARA (Threat Analysis and Risk Assessment). These ongoing threat analyses and regular updates are necessary to quickly identify and respond to new threats. Agility is key, as developers, security experts, and product managers must work together to develop and implement a comprehensive security posture. The agile approach brings teams together and is proven, methodical, and well supported by tools. Without the combination of agility and cybersecurity, there is a risk of security incidents, data loss and financial damage, which can lead to a loss of customer confidence. As cyber threats grow and become more sophisticated, the synthesis of cybersecurity and agility is essential.

Voestalpine to reorganize auto component production in Germany. The Austrian manufacturer of specialized rolled products Voestalpine announced the reorganization of its auto component production capacities in Germany. The reason for this was the decline in demand on the European market. According to the reorganization plan, the auto component production plant in Birkenfeld, Rhineland-Palatinate, will be shut down. This will entail the loss of jobs for 220 employees of the plant. In addition, 650 people will be laid off at the Voestalpine plant in Dettingen an der Erms, Baden-Württemberg. The four plants that will remain in operation will be combined into a common production network.
