Reframd's origin story traces back to a relatable experience of grappling with ill-fitting eyeglasses, which deterred individuals from wearing them altogether. We soon discovered that most glasses in stores or online catered to individuals with "Caucasian" nose structures characterized by high and narrow nasal bridges. This inherent design bias left people with low and wide nose bridges, particularly those of Black or East Asian descent, with eyewear that did not fit properly.
Reframd is a company that crafts and manufactures eyewear products based on the unique facial measurements of each customer. Our products rely on technology and parametric design principles. We have revolutionized the conventional approach to eyewear frame design, integrating features such as a low bridge slope and wide-angle nose pieces. These factors contribute to glasses that effortlessly and comfortably fit individuals with low and wide nose profiles, just like us.
